Simflyer Frankfurt

Featured Replies

I am considering purchasing Simflyers Frankfurt scenery, along with the new Las Vegas scenery.I would be interested in hearing other views on either scenery from those who have it - apart from Simflyers personnel of course :) Thanks

I personally think they are fantastic - for daytime flying only. Their highly exaggerated green taxi lights (that were apparently done on purpose since some simmers were getting lost while taxiing .... :-eek ) bother me a lot. I can't never figure while someone who clearly has full mastery of the technology involved decides to dumb-down their product.Michael J.

I own both the Simflyer and the German Airport version of Frankurt, but I prefer the German Airport version. For my system (AMD 1200 Athlon) it is just a little better on the fps, and I like the textures a bit more. The GAP version is also included in the GAP collection. With this CD-rom you get a total of 11 as I have counted well (did it fast so I can have missed one).Tino

>Yeah, German airports for Germany and Simflyers for USA.>How's that for a good deal?Well, if Simflyers airports drop down in price to about $4 per airport (in a bundle) then maybe I will call it a deal. And they better fix their night lights ... :-hahMichael J.http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg

Why don't you just download the free preview version? It is actually the full version without runways and with the simflyers logo displayed here and there. This gives you the opportunity to test how the scenery is on your fps and how you like the visuals. If you like it, you only have to aplly for an activating code, you do not have to download the scenery again.Cheers, Wolfgang

Vulcan,I have almost all the of the Simflyer's scenery which includes Frankfurt. I also had the GAP sceneries, which I might add are VERY good. However Simflyers scenries are all very good IMHO. I now use them for every airport they have. I just like their attention to detail. When you remove their static aircraft which I don't want with AI I get good frames with my P4/1.7ghz system.I just purchased today the Las Vegas scenery, but what I can tell it is a terrific piece of work, since it was done in GMAX.Can't say enough good stuff about SimflyersCheersBob
