May 7, 200917 yr This question is asked more often than the question "when is the advanced tutorial coming out", please have a look on the first couple of pages of this forum and you will find the answer. Cheers, Andy.
May 7, 200917 yr Author This question is asked more often than the question "when is the advanced tutorial coming out", please have a look on the first couple of pages of this forum and you will find the answer.I have 4,814 posts here at AVSIM and I have yet to see a post about the PMDG e-commerce checkout cart showing empty when it should not be.Furthermore, I have just gone through all 84 posts in the MD-11 sticky at the top of this forum, and have yet to see anything directly pertaining to the question I asked. Perhaps the mentioning of a page refresh there is tangentially related, but I see no reference to the e-commerce checkout cart in that regard. So, could you please point me in the correct direction as it relates to my original question? May 7, 200917 yr Rhett, make sure your temporary internet files are cleared (cache is empty) and maybe delete the pmdg cookie before trying it again. For some reason, this web page does not refresh in everyone's browser like you would expect but I am not a brower expert. Why, I don't claim to be an expert at anything. Dan Downs KCRP
May 7, 200917 yr The first link is from Page 2 and post #2 in it is very interesting, see what I mean.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=248767http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=247733http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=247590http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=241039 Cheers, Andy.
May 7, 200917 yr Andy, I think you missed about a hundred of them. Regardless, folks ask a simple question and hope the forum can provide a direct answer... gotta put yourself in someone elses shoes. Dan Downs KCRP
May 8, 200917 yr Commercial Member If clearing out your Browser cache and cookies fails to correct the problem, log out of the PMDG website and start your purchase over and do not log back in until you reach the Check out portion. You will be prompted to log in at that point and it should work properly from there.RegardsPaul GollnickManager Technical/Customer SupportPrecision Manuals Development Groupwww.precisionmanuals.com Paul Gollnick Manager Customer/Technical Support Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
May 8, 200917 yr Author The first link is from Page 2 and post #2 in it is very interesting, see what I mean.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=248767 ...and now, that same thread is on Page 3. Do you see what *I* mean?If this is such a common problem, I think we can all see what should be done with one of those threads. One thread is all it would take.I have answered 1000's of questions on net forums myself, and if there is repetition, I accept it as going with the territory. I certainly hope you are not being snide; if you are, adios, I'm outta here, I have better things to do with my time. If not, cheers and have fun flying. I certainly hope you are not being snide; if you are, adios, I'm outta here, I have better things to do with my time. If not, cheers and have fun flying.I encountered the same thing a while back. They didn't like my attitude. :( I attempted to buy the MD-11X. I used IE7, IE8, Firefox 3.01 and Google Chrome. They all produced the same result of telling me my cart was empty when I tried to check out. I find the official line of it is the browser not refreshing the page properly, a bit amusing. If the problem occurred on 2 different computers using 4 different browsers, an intelligent webmaster would look closely at the code used by the site. Even if the code seems proper, a prudent webmaster would address the issue and recode the site so the problem simply couldn't happen.I finally got the MD-11X from another vendor when it was released on DVD-ROM. It's a pity that they can make a fine product and then make the customer experience, lousy. They probably won't like my attitude now, either. :(Robin Frank
May 8, 200917 yr It took me all of 5 minutes to find those threads just by quickly scanning the forum and not using the search function, I cant abide people that cant at least try to help themselves and expect everyone else to do the leg work for them, especially when that person supposedly reckons they spent that much time on here they are absolutely certain they haven't seen a post about the issue before, YOU were WRONG, not me, so give me a break.I must admit that the forum search function isn't the best in the world but take a look at this page. Empty+cart were the search terms I used.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?act=Sea...%2Bempty%2Bcart Cheers, Andy.
