May 10, 200917 yr Author Its one the throttle levers, but I suggest pressing ctrl+num pad 3Thanks.Let me ask a few follow up questions:1) When reverse thrust is activated should it show on the EICAS ?2) Can reverse thrust only be activated once the aircraft is on the ground ? Or can it be done in flight ?3) I checked the throttle levers but cannot see them. I see the speed brake, parking brake and flaps levers but not the reverse thrust. Thanks again

I see the speed brake, parking brake and flaps levers but not the reverse thrust. Thanks againWhen you touch down, press F1 to retard thrust (or move throttle control on joystick to idle), then press and hold F2 on your keyboard. This will activate reverse thrust. On the EICAS screen for engines, when reverse thrust is activated there will be 4 green "REV" shown above each N1 engine display.I have never tried to activate reverse thrust in flight, but why would you need to.Reverse thrust is to slow the aircraft on the ground mostly during landings.Hope that helps Perry Fincher CEO of Pan American Virtual https://paaclippersva.com/
May 11, 200917 yr You should never activate reverse thrust in the air... it should not be possible technically to do so, though there have been incidents of it occurring as a result of a technical failure... (Was it a Lauda 767?)You would normally move to idle thrust prior to touchdown during flare mode, at 50ftRA or below (depends on aircraft: MD-11 50ft RA, Boeings around 30ft RA? Airbuses bellow "retard" at 20ft RA if you haven't closed the thrust levers by that point), to allow the engines to spool down accordingly before you unlock the reversers and engage reverse thrust...F1 (or hardware joystick/yoke idle) then F2 once or twice depending on the aircraft... as some addons use the first press of F2 to unlock the reversers, and the next press to engage reverse thrust itself...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
