Designed for Win XP

When reinstalling FS9 planes on my new system I noted this info regarding the dreamfleet Baron 58.It's stated that it is designed for Win XP and will not work on another OS.Does this mean I can't use it on my system running Win 7 or that other people using Vista can't use it?Or do they mean no OS earlier than Win XP?If not what more planes can't be used in Win 7 or Vista?

If you go to the Dreamfleet support forum on Flightsim.com you will find other folk's experiences with Vista and Win 7 - results vary. In general, the disclaimer means that the product is not supported under another OS - you're on your own if you use it on an OS other than WinXP.DJ

That sort of thing usually ends up meaning, it won't work on Windows 98, rather than it won't work on operating systems which followed XP.Al

More generally, I think it means it's been develioped and tested on XP and that the developers aren't prepared to offer any assurances about other operating systems. It may or may not work on them but you're on your own.

You mean I won't be able to use my purchased Reality XP 430 and 530WAAS. And therefore not the dreamfleet Baron since it have reality xp 530WAAS?

The newer RXP Garmins work on 64bit but the older stuff will not (such as the stuff supplied with the A36 and B58, they do not work in 64bit).
