June 7, 200916 yr Hi,I would try the Soft Horizons sky textures package by John Cillis. You should be able to find it in the flightsim library. Onur K. Visit my FS blog: Clear Right...
June 7, 200916 yr Author Its not the horizon, its water rendering. You see, its not sky light blue its still water, I just have this huge edgy rendered/unrendered area following me Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
June 7, 200916 yr Author My horison is smooth already. I dont need any smooth horizons. ANd it does nothing for my water. Water, ground only renders for like 100miles and everything else looks blurry Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
June 7, 200916 yr This is a FS9 limitation. Some water addons present it more visible, some less. The fact is, its there on every system. I for one get by it by limiting visibility to 30nm, which is more or less real world limitation in many situations...
June 11, 200916 yr Author How would u do it, if sight distance is max 60 miles? Could u help me set it to 30?Thanks Word Not Allowed,Spasibo and Danke :) Konstantin Kharlamov Supporter of: PMDG, FlyTampa, FsDreamTeam, FlightBeam, FSFX.
June 11, 200916 yr Hello,Soft Horizons sky textures package by John Cillis.Good advice and simple solution.....Regards.

It's not a limitation. It's how you have everything configured to run together. Crazy at its seems there is a proper order to install addons.(Unfortunatly I can't discuss that because of the NDA)I posted screens on the temp forum after someone said the same thing about "Limitations"And i'll post them here. Later when I'm home.2 things I'll suggest. SOFT HORIZONS!!!And check your Detail1.bmp in your world texture folder. Some addons replace this file and that is the result you get. Clarke Kruger - CYEG

June 11, 200916 yr I run my flight sim @ max AA and AF, so its not my computer. But this is what i get :(I'll also add. That everything cranked to the right and running Full AA & AF doesn't mean anything!!You need to find a balance that makes your sim look great. Not just Maxing out everything. OK, I am very interested in your proof. For the record, you are the one who is wrong. It has been proven too many times.Fine, Give me a screen shot with this effect and i'll match it.The only time I get a hint of this is in the Dusk transition. Clarke Kruger - CYEG
June 12, 200916 yr Soft horizon definitely lessens that effect but it is an fs9 limitations. The reason why on your computer it doesn't look good at dusk/dawn is because those are the times that the soft horizon textures aren't showing up properly, as it says in the readme file for it. I have looked into this issue many many times and have never seen an example from the few people that claim that their fs9 doesn't have rendering boundaries visible, although I'd love for you to prove me wrong and show me how ofcourse :( - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |

Anyways, I second this. I had this same problem and was part of the discussion in the temp forum. I checked the detail1.bmp and it was ok. I then worked with the add-on Flight Environment to give an ocean texture that better matched, and a different horizon.Another thing I did was to change the settings in FS9 that my terrain detail was Land only and Water was Low. I did this because the untextured water in the distance was receiving the wave effects and it looked aweful. It looked like scaled up wave effects and it runed the look.Right now it is all fine. I have not installed Soft Horizons yet, but I mean to.So far i have the 1) FlightEnviron. Add-on and 2) FS9 Terrain settings tweeked to help reduce this effect. June 12, 200916 yr I never said it didn't look good.I said I get a "hint" of rendering boundariesLike they always say.Proof is in the Pudding.Images over the 200K file size limit deleted For the record, you are the one who is wrong. June 13, 200916 yr Ah, The Deafening Silence.Funny how it is when I've finally proving myself right, That the thread just dies.I'm just curious as to where Word Not Allowed's claim that For the record, you are the one who is wrong. It has been proven too many times. fits in now? Please tell me what this proves? Clarke Kruger - CYEG
