Looking for lift bridge model

Featured Replies

This is a long shot, but you never know until you ask.Would anyone know where I could find a model of a vertical lift bridge like the one pictured? There's about seven I'd like to place along the Welland Canal using Instant Scenery.Any help appreciated. Thanks,Charlie

You mean like this:http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/det...amp;prevstart=0You'll have to get a bit fancy to use it though. That's a Google Sketchup model (one of several of lift bridges actually), so you'd have to download it into sketchup (using the browse online for models button on the top left), take it out of sketchup as a 3DS model and then stick the 3DS export in whatever program you are using. Not hard, but a tad convoluted.Al

Great idea Al, but exporting as a 3DS model seems to require Sketchup Pro, a bit pricey at $495. Am I missing something?John

You can download a demo of the pro version of sketchup which runs for 8 hours, which should be enough time to get what you need done I would think. :-)Al
