June 25, 200916 yr hi all, i have just been reading the Aerosoft forum, where the Admin. Mathijs Kok, is talking about a new airbus 320/330 becoming available in August 2009. he says it wont be of pmdg standard, but nevertheless it will be available. i feel that there is a relationship between Aerosoft and pmdg, which makes me think that pmdg will not want to steal Aerosofts thunder, thereby pmdg will not be producing an airbus in the foreseeable future. for those of you who are airbus minded, i hope i am wrong in making this judgement. time will tell. richard welsh. June 25, 200916 yr Its proberbly the airsimmer A320 http://www.airsimmer.com I believe Flight1 is selling the Airsimmer product when it comes out, so no it's not from Airsimmer the aerosoft one. To all intents and purposes the Airsimmer airbus looks as detailed as anything PMDG has done, we will have to see when it comes out to make a true comparison though until then you can only go on what has been shown on their forums.I think PMDGs Airbus is a long way off, it's slated for after the 737 I think and I image will take just as long if not longer due to it having totally diffferent systems from boeing (think of the MD-11 development time scale). Though PMDG seems to be developing more than one plane at a time at the moment so who knows maybe its been worked on right now in secret :-) One can only hope! Patience is something you have to have waiting for simulations from advanced developers and it's normally worth it in the end, I own the 747X and the MD-11 from PMDG and the depth in them was worth waiting for.Paul
June 25, 200916 yr Aerosoft is developing its own Airbus... a completely separate project from the Airsimmer project, currently in development and testing...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
June 25, 200916 yr Duke Nukem Forever is still also in development and testing I thinkNah, 3DRealms bit the dust a couple months ago. Sam Anderson Every cigarette takes 17 minutes off your life, every slice of bacon takes 9 minutes off your life. If you smoke and eat bacon fast enough, you can go back in time.
June 25, 200916 yr I'm hoping PMDG will stick with what they know best and stick with Boeing aircraft,T7 after the 737NG2.0My own little"wishful thinking" :(
June 25, 200916 yr From what they said in this post under next project it seems they may be open to something other than an A320 after 737 NG2.0 Tom Landry
June 26, 200916 yr Duke Nukem Forever is still also in development and testing I thinkI waited for years, they really dropped the ball on that one. Would have made millions.Jeff P.
