Hi guys,KFCA is my hometown airport. I know the runways are too short for the MD11 but I would really like to plan a flight there. The problem is that each time I go through the flightplanner in FSX and then I attempt to setup a flight from KSEA/KFCA, the FMC is telling me that it is not in the dabase. This is probably a stupid question, but how do I get my airport added or is there something I am doing incorrectly? Thanks!

How long are the runways? I once did a flight from aspen to jfk... hmm maybe the possibilities are here. I think you'll fix your problem is you uncheck the show runways over 5000 ft only.

ICAO list and could not find it listed nor is it in the database of myairplane.com that being the case it wont be in Navigraph airacs either, which is probably why the fmc in your aircraft is stating - not in database. richard welsh.

The FAA doesn't have a decode for FCA or KFCA.

(I think the MD-11 uses the common one for PMDG.)Are you thinking of a nearby airport Polston which has 4,000 foot runways?

Hi guys,Thanks so much for the help. It turns out that KGPI is recognized by the FMC. It won't import a flightplan from FSX because of the KFCA designation, but I can program in the nav points manually(only 4 from KSEA) and it does recognize the altitude from the FSX flightplan so it decides the transitions and airspeed automatically.
