Do you have a registered version of FSUIPC? If so try adjusting the wind smoothing option

I've also got the same problem - have an unregistered version of fusipc. I use ASV6.5 -do we need to pay for the reg version to resolve this problem?FSX, Vista 64Mike

From what I read on a post at HiFi sim forum - it's a bit of an upset between pmdg planes and hifi, both blame the other and hifi has apparently talked to pmdg about how to 'fix' the problem of S turns and altitude shifts and wind effects but no joy. That is not my opinion, it's only what I read I hasten to add.I use ASA for fs9 pmdg and have no problems, different story using fsx though. I use fscuip4 with fsx and it does help considerably. That said I don't know about upper weather but to my mind winds do not shift around at 180 degrees in normal conditions and certainly don't vary by +/- 90 knots in the course of a few seconds.Think it all boils down to the FSX weather engine being rubbish at the end of the day.John Ellison

FSUIPC doesn't cost much. It is a very useful program. Besides adjusting weather, you can assign keys, buttons and axis's for FS that you can't do with FS by itself. If you have addon hardware such as a yoke, throttles or pedals, it makes calibrating and assigning buttons so much easier. You can even make aircraft specific assignments so when you switch to a prop, for example, the throttles can already be set up. I think it's a must have program myself.RegardsRichie

and it will resolve the speed spyke issue in FSX? Until I saw this thread I did not think anything of it. I also have the LevelD in FSX and dont have this issue with it and asv6.5.Thanks for the help!Mike

I had the same problem so I bought a registered version of fusipc, played with the smoothing settings (for like 1 minute) and it's pretty much fixed. No more sudden overspeed or stall speeds.

I had the same problems when I first purchased the PMDG 747. I then purchased the registered version of FSUIPC and the problems went away. Rick
