Hi Stick, happy i checked with you first! They are certainly not giving the Skycatcher away and I just couldn't find any info on the web reviewing it. I'm a big A2A fan - they have really set the bar high, and just having trouble finding a good low and slow GA with radio stack that i can practice circuits and short vfr flights on that would be comparable in feel and flight dynamics to some of their aircrafts. Can someone help on this – have always had this problem with the MD11. Was doing a Montreal Toronto flight on Vatsim this afternoon – had set up my approach from Montreal for a Simcoe2 star, runway 15L. As I was approaching my descent Toronto center called for a Simcoe2 runway 5 approach. Updated the approach in the FMS to runway 5 – that is when I noticed on my flight plan page that it had both approaches inputed in the fms! I had to manually delete a bunch of intersections – this while taking descent commands from ATC. I've run into this before with this aircraft – can someone explain fms procedure for changing runways? I plan on doing a return to Montreal – hope to have it sorted by then :)Thanks!Mike

Same problem here - how can they have released this product with this noticeable problem???? Don't give me "its an fsx problem" as I have many other payware aircraft that don't have this problem. Pressing "H" kinda takes the realism out of flying it. Is there word that they are addressing it? Unbelievable...Mike

Thanks a bunch for all you input folks - based on your recommendations finally have it running pretty smoothly. The winner tweak so far seems to be Paul's Vsync cfg tweak. That seems to have gotten rid of the stutters while taxing which is great. I'll take in all your recommendations and slowly implement - will report back with to let you know how I made out.Thanks again!Mike

Hi Wims - it was a new installation, I've installed and installed fsx so many times in the last week that I am wondering if the reg is all screwed up... I ran some tests on the crossfire set up and thunderbolt is correct - it does not enhance performace. i looked at the gpu load and it is non exististent. Taking it out and will return it :) I did do a degrag between setups also so I know that is not the issue.I don't understand how my old system which is far inferior to this one ran FSX much better.....Will take your advice and tweak in bits instead of batches. I don't have any experience in overclocking but will look into it - do you have any websites you can recommend for me to do some research?Thanks again to all for the recommendations.MikeWhat is Vsync?

Hi Squishy - yup, tried his cfg but it made my font all fuzzy and didn't eliminate my problem Also used FPS Limiter as per his recommendation and although it does reduce the problem, it doesn't eliminate it. With my old rig it used to be very smooth, with this much better rig is stutters. Also update Directx as well as drivers... Seems my problems spyked when I installed Reality XP's WS530 - not sure if that is related. I'm at the point of thinking of doing a complete reformat of my hard drives and set it up myself. Then again, would hate to go through all of that and end up with the same problem.

Hi All - well, I finally decided to splurge and buy a new rig for FSX. With my old HP I was getting between 25-30fps with frames set to unlimited and fsx was smooth as butter. I still saw lower frames in the PMDG JS41 (18-21FPS) and wanted to ensure I would have a system that would be able to handle the new PMDG 737 as well as add some payware sceneries. Since I've had my system its been a nightmare. Although my fps are through the roof flying my A2A B-17 (50FPS with settings high), the stutters are brutal! I've done lots of reading on the Avsim forum, changed my fsx.cfg file as per some of the recommendations, used FPS limiter at 30FPS as recommended, but can't seem to get rid of the stutters! I went as far today as to buy another HD5770 and crossfired it but still have not seen the stutters disapear. I'm pulling my hair out at this point - very frustrated. Can anyone recommend a fix? With my rig specs I should not be seeing this... Thanks in advance for the help. Hi - I've tried everything written in this thread to get it to work with no luck. My bat file is: Start C:\"FPS Limiter\"FPS_Limiter.exe /r:D3D9 /f:30 /x:OFF /l:OFF " C:\FSX\fsx.exeI disabled UAC, have the bat file as well as fps limiter exe file in "fps limiter" folder that I created and put in my c drive. I changed the exe file to run as administrator, and on compatibility tab I have "disable desktop composition". I don't get it - can anyone help?Appreciate it, thanksMike

Just re-read the manual and assigned "alternate static source (on/off)" to button 2 and I know have mute! Why am I able to assign it from the fsx menu but unable to assign it from the fs2crew config manager?Thanks,Mike

Hi Bryan - I am also having a problem with soft muting, no key or CH yoke assignment work for me. Thought it was just me so didn't give it another thought until I saw this thread on the forum. Question: When I assign an key or button from the JS41 config manager, should the assignment show up if I close, then re-open the drop down menu in the "mute voice recognition assignment"? For me, after assigning a key, saving and closing the config manager, opening it again the assignment I selected does not show (shows blank). Any assignment I choose, either keyboard or joystick does not work when testing in fsx (I speak and see it in green text at top of screen).Please let me know, thanksMike
