I didn't receive such a warning and installed without problems. May be that you're receiving a false warning. Happens at times.Jim D.

No infections found with PCTools Spyware Doctor (with Antivirus). Looks like a false alarm. Interesting to note that Browser Defender says Surcarlo is an unsafe site, when I checked this out they hadn't even reviewed it !!!!

I know it's hard to create an informative and easy to use web site. I went through the ringer in 96' when I created Shopping.com, one of the world's first e-tailers. It was sold many years ago so don't blame me for the way it looks now. But what's with FlyScenery's web site? I mean, to create an airport takes a quite a bit of effort while perfection is only tempered by one's drive towards realism and the amount of time you have to spend in achieving it. To see this in a piece of art is wonderful and we see it all the time from the flight simulator artists, that's part of the attraction and beauty that many outside of the flight simulator community don't realize.I'm guessing but sometimes the artists have spent so much time on the scenery that they forget how to present their art work in an easy to use and thoughtful manner. In my personal opinion, I would rather have 3 links on a blank page with no title or graphics rather then have to navigate a site that doesn't work to well. I think one of the worst offenders is FranceVFR. Their site has to be one of the most poorly conceived professional flight simulator sites around. Click on a link for a scenery detail...and get their entire product line WITH screenshots!!! My goodness gracious. FlyScenery's site is just the opposite but quite the same. Click on a link and get nothing informative other then download me.One more thing I'd like to see from FlyScenery is a non-installer version of their stuff. I really don't like installers very much and would rather have it zipped, (with an embedded folder structure), so I know what is being installed and where. At least have an installation document that tells you what's in store before you run an executable. There might be one in the installer, I don't know because I haven't run it yet.Mark

I was actually going to install it but after reading the info that comes up after it's installed I decided not to. At least not yet. Their message talked about how there are some problems with it and how they are working on them. I figured I would wait until those are resolved.

All right, since you went to the trouble of helping all of us, I'll install it and see what it does...check back in a bit...Mark

Thanks guys. Kaspersky is no longer giving an alert, but the final download link is a popup which my browser blocked. I finally got it to accept the popup and got the file. Seems the web site could use some cleanup.

FlyScenery Install of...KTIW - Tacoma Narrows AirportTacoma, Washington, USAOK, here's the deal. The airport is quite nice, photo real textures, nice buildings and hangers, well depicted and colorized...all in all a cool little GA airport. The initial installer asks to you where you want to install the airport. It defaults to "Flight Simulator 9\TacomaNarrowsAirport for FS9" and it works. After that initial install you actually have the airport, (it seems for now), and all you need to do is to add it to your scenery library. FlyScenery creates another executable shortcut on your desktop which is a link to to run their "Update Manager". They wrote the application in dotnet version 3.5 so if you don't have that on your system, you are automatically prompted to install it. Then, it goes ahead and installs dotnet 3.5 so you can use the update manager which checks for updates to the software. The update manager process appears to be manual, so in other words, you have to click on the shortcut in order to check for updates. For now, it doesn't appear to be doing anything automatically. If you don't want to install dotnet 3.5 then it seems, (once again so far), that all you have to do is to decline the 3.5 install, add the scenery to your library, and don't use the update manager. The airport appears to be working fine. I haven't had much time to look at the Afcad yet and there were no other GA aircraft at the airport other then mine, which is not that much fun so I might have to create some flight plans for it.My take, (if anyone is interested), go ahead and install the airport, decline the dotnet 3.50 install, don't use the update manager, add the airport to your scenery library, and use the airport in good health and confidence! Why they didn't simply put a zip file on their website with 2 folders in it...Scenery and Texture...is a mystery to me.MarkFlyScenery ReadMe and my installation notes....--------------------------------------------------------***Note: you must activate your scenery in the scenery library***Thankyou for choosing Flyscenery.org's Tacoma Narrows Airport for FS9. Jitters may occure, do not worry it is normal and will be fixed...This was the line that made me want to skip it for now.

Maybe they have some bunk textures in there somewhere, although, I looked at them with XnView and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'm going to fly a closed course in a few minutes and see if I get any jitters. FlyScenery may have other scenery enhancements but maybe they decided not to include in the initial install because of "scenery jitters". I haven't had any taxiing around the airport. It's actually a really nice airport and is a welcomed addition to the Seattle area. It will be fun to use it, fly from KTIW to CYYJ or maybe to CYSE! After seeing my initial reaction to the crummy web site and lack of documention for an executible file, (that really is a no-no), and with all the talk of malware...in the end I think that the airport is very cool! I've got to ask FlyScenery to add the Tacoma Guitar factory....I have 2 of them myself :)Mark

Here's a quick update. I had said before that I hadn't found anything unusual yet...well, I had started my flights from the active runway. I just started a flight from one of the parking locations and found that it was in one of the hangers! Tried another parking ramp and it was as well. So I'll research this and get back to the group...for those of you that care :)Mark

I did download and installed it, including the update. Jitters for me. I uninstalled it, tried again at the airport with default scenery, smooth flying. Airport looks good. I will wait until it's jitter-free. Dave VegaAMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4600+, 2.41 GHz, 3.00GB RAMNVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+, 185.85 drivers
