July 18, 200916 yr Hi guys,Those of you who might still be debating whether or not to 'upgrade' to Vista may be interested to learn that XP support continues until 2014. However, you will have to have SP3 installed. SP2 support lasts for a further year then it will stop.http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=254851I did hear a rumour that this was indeed the case, but it was nice to have it confirmed nevertheless.Mike
July 18, 200916 yr Cool. I like XP, it just works. Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
July 18, 200916 yr Mainstream XP support ended in April 2009. Extended support goes to April 2014. Long story short, they will only be releasing security related patches for XP from this point on. Of course, for most users that's fine as everything else runs great at this point. There is no reason for most users to worry about this. For those with older PCs who are running XP fine now, there is no urgent need to upgrade because of this. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
