I think you were right the first time, I'm beyond help.On a more serious note though, I do think the fact that AVSIM was gone for a short while made people realise what a fun thing they had, and of course we never really appreciate what we've got until it is gone. The fact that many people were prompted to offer donations to get it back is probably what has contributed to a slightly noticeable shift over to 'pleasant mode' on the forums, because now many people feel there is a little part of themselves in AVSIM, which indeed there is.My bit is the third from the left flashing blue LED on the front bit of the server, just near where the wires go in.Al

Andre first off let me say a program running like crap is not calling it crap as a whole. I don't know if you were talking about me or what plus I just wrote a long thread above with praise for both sims (FS9/FSX). What came after that was totally uncalled for and what followed that was below the belt. I think I speak for everyone here that we all pitched in and donated to help Avsim get back on it's feet. Some donated large amounts others small but we gave what we could. I decided to start posting again because 1. my account allowed me to and 2. I felt bad for what happened to Avsim. I'm a long standing member in this community on a few forums and partly responsible for titles like Feelthere's 737, Dreamfleet's offerings post A36, and many other titles here and there. Your not dealing with Ariane here yet some approach it as such. Everything from beta testing to partial development I've done over the years. I have nothing to hide and I'm not biting my tongue or bending over backwards to kiss you know what. Time should be spent finding out who hacked the hell out of Avsim versus bringing up dirt against long standing members of this community. I've tried everything I could to resolve past issues when they happened but if they are still issues I can move on. The file library is finally back up but look how long it took. That's the person who needs to be found and smeared through the mud. I agree with the original poster that things had improved but if we fall back to where someone can personally attack another with comments like 'FS9 a really excited user' yet the one who just stated their opinion get's the mud then things haven't changed. Pre-hacked Avsim is one thing and many of us have gotten spirited in the past about our issues especially concerning FSX but the current realities are far different than what we had in those days. Today Aces is gone, Avsim was almost destroyed, and there's nothing new on the horizon as a viable continuation to our foundation simulator. An FSX a really excited user or an FS9 a really excited user is a great thing especially if their buying add-ons. Liking one sim over the other is great as well and making great points about the two keeps us all on our toes. Personal attacks is another thing and I'll kindly leave if that's tolerated. For the record I'm very conscious of my own actions and if something is still being held over my head from years ago no matter what I did to resolve it I'll move on as well...
