July 30, 200916 yr I've been saving a sort of fund to build a new computer. I've been eying the Gigabyte GAX58 Extreme and the I7 975. The question is not so much should I upgrade, but rather should I wait for the next big thing. I'm planning on actually building the computer in the next 4 months.To the mods: As the other hardware threads are more troubleshooting related, I figured this was an OK place to post :(---------------------------------------------------------While I had no experience with other CPU's between an i7-975 and a P3 3.4 Prescott core...I CAN tell you that a system hosting a 975 will bring a smile to your face, in a LARGE WAY! :) I know...I'd go for it. You won't be sorry that you did, that is for sure!
