afcad scenery

Featured Replies

hi i just created an airport with afcad for fs9 and i replaced the .bgl-file of the default microsoft airport with my new of afcad. But usually the "airport" is only for gliderBatting%20Eyelashes.gif. So i had to enlarge the airport very much. And now there are houses and trees on everything of the airport...runway...taxiways...apron...now i would really like to know how to clean these scenery files for using my airport without any objects :( .

How did you

replaced the .bgl-file of the default microsoft airport with my new of afcad
?It sound like you have autogen scenery showing up on an airport you expanded beyond the default airport background. If so you can "exclude" these items with a program available here in the library, file name excbuilderv2.zip I think. If that is not correct, search for exclude builder. It is an easy process to write excludes with this program and there is a good tutorial in the library also.Hope this helps,Joe[edit]Here is a link to the page - http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=...&CatID=root[/edit]

thanks...yes i renamed my airport on afcad like the airport i want to replace. so then i just add this bgl-file to the path where the default .bgl was filed.

Hi.This is quite interesting. However, I thought you could just draw an"Exclude" area with AFX, which is kind of a more modern and up-dated version of AFCAD2.You can draw as many exclusion rectangles / boxes etc as you like, then just save the file and job done.Thought I would mention this in case you didn't know about it.

Windows XP Professional SP3, ABIT IC7 MAX3 MotherBoard, Intel P4 3.40GHz HT, 4Gigs RAM, Hercules Digifire Sound Card, Geforce 7800GS 512RAM Graphics Card, FS9.1, REX, ASv6.5, GE pro.FE.

The latest version of ADE ( see FSDeveloper.com)works with FS9 and FSX. It will make exclusions and add scenery, as well as most of what AFCAD does.Bob

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

ok thanks. I'll try it with the modern version of AFCAD. But it also works with excluding builder. However i have a new question. Is it possible to edit terminals and other buildings with AFCAD to the scenery or do i have to use another programm? :(

That's where you need another program, like AFX or ADE. In the past, the SceneGenX program was often used for this (including changing/moving taxisigns). There are also a goodly number of object placement programs. But at airports, many terminals are not compiled scenery objects but rather are defined as "generic buildings". Many of the above programs can move or scale generic buildings, but I think SGX is the only one that can create them.scott s..

Ok thanks. Do you have a download link or do you know a site where i can get SGX or the other programms? :(
