August 14, 200916 yr Hello Nick,Nick, I am presently on a flight over the Canadian Shield near about South River [edit-now just north of North Bay], Ontario tagging along Hy. 11/17 and just had to pause FSX to come here, and thank you SO SINCERLY, for all the selfless time, effort, and willingness to make everybody else have a flight simulation experience that your background, would afford you.Since having gotten my i7 system two weeks ago, and having taken the time to back-read all of your GREAT and informational posts on properly setting up FSX, including my most recent setup and tweak of nHancer,.......I have to tell you that FSX is just simply awe inspiring. I mean Nick...I have visited the places in real life that I am enjoying flying over in FSX...and with this system, with your setup guides, I am there again. I simply have not to date gotten over what FSX is offering, with the proper hardware and setup to run it. All the landmarks and topography of the real world are there...you just need the equipment, time to setup, and someone like yourself to make the information available.Thank you so very much, Nick. This Dell 730x H2C and your posts have combined to make my present flight simulation experience EVERYTHING that I had always hoped for, and wanted since the day I brought my first computer home, the Atari 800! Only now...am I truly no longer looking for...that next technology advancement to make it all come together. It already has...Mitch

August 15, 200916 yr Yeah, I have to agree. Installed FSX yesterday, did a very quick run through through Nick's guide, and I have FSX running in a way that maybe isn't as smooth as I'd wish and I'm finding some tiny errors, but all in all, performance is very good! All I gotta do now, is stock up on third party addons ;-)Without Nick, though, I wouldn't have been able to enjoy FSX in the way I do now. It runs so good with all the default stuff, that I have even been considering to start moving to FSX.EDIT: Oh wow, I just came to a great realization... I will be able to fly all of the future PMDG aircraft! Can't wait to see them release the Dash-8! August 15, 200916 yr It must be nice to be able to fly FSX with so many add ons like that. I can fly it stock pretty well with my little E7300 cpu. I thought about doing an upgrade in the fall but now since seeing so many memory problems with high end ddr3 memory I think I will wait till feb. of next year. Sounds like you got a great computer there.
