February 13, 201016 yr I prefer regional flights around Australia in either a Dash 8 or a 737 (-200, -300, -400, -500, -600, -700, -800, -900 they're all similar enough). Why? Because Voz 1.8 offers coverage of an entire continent for free with updated terrain, airports, and weather.
February 13, 201016 yr Most of my flying of late has been in relation to areas I have been doing scenery for. I have no rhyme or reason how I get interested initially, but once I get involved I do a lot of flying for testing etc. I have UT USA but not CA/AK, and have done some terrain projects in Canada and Alaska that probably wouldn't have been worth doing if I already had UT for it. the two main projects I worked were the Columbia river from Spokane KGEG to Revelstoke CYRV. I redid every airport along the river, including the river terrain, roads and railroads. I borrowed someones Castlegar but had to do some rework since it was designed for the default terrain. I also did some airports only from Revelstoke west to Alaska. My other project was the Aleutians, Unalaska and the area about Cold Bay on out through Unmiak. I also did some work on Shemya but I think there is also a freeware published on that which includes things like the cobra Dane radar site.I also have done projects in Korea, Papua New Guinea, and Malaysia (Sarawak) but that's in FSX. From Korea I have done some projects/flying in China, Taiwan and a little in Philippines. Also southern Japan, but there are some good published freeware for Japan and I haven't done any projects, just flying there.scott s..
