Hello All,I am really wanting to purchase the BAE J41 from PMDG. Is this a good choice? For anyone who owns this, any comments? Please let me know if I should get this or not. :( Also, DOES ANYONE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE 737NG FOR FSX FROM PMDG!!!!???? I need it so bad! Any info would be greatly appreciated!-E.R.

Try this for the JetStream http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=259609

Do yourself a favor...Get it! There's a little bit of a learning curve, but it's a blast to fly. Certainly different from the usual airliner sim.

Thanks guys!I went ahead and got it....{jaw drops} {passes out} I am stunned!!! :( The best plane I have ever owned! VC is AMAZING!!! Systems are wonderful, real as it gets! PMDG's president Robert Randazzo flew as captain on these planes for a number of years and it really shows! Wow. I am in shock! Do to the default paint, you can use this as an executive plane as well. All the details, the graphics, the everything.....PERFECT. It is not the most popular plane, but that couldn't matter less. So many repaints available on there site! Have nothing left to say. I am in shock!-E.R.

HelloAre you saying you have been able to get Fsuipc macros to work, or use keymapping to get your cockpit hardware to work? What hardware are you able to program to work with the J41?My Goflight units will not work at all , not even using keymapping or Fsuipc macros. Not even the radios.Fine aircraft as long as you are happy clicking the mouse, but if you have a home cockpit or anything like Goflight or PFC you are out of luck.

I am stumped as well by the lack of keyboard mapping support. At a minimum, most add on a/c will let you assign a few crucial parameters to keyboard commands, like switching the Autopilot on or off, certain lights, etc in a special menu. I was surprised to not see such a menu available, and using FSUIPC's macro function wont work because it doesnt read any of the panel switches.I still love this plane, but it would have been nice to assign some keyboard commands to some of the hard to reach buttons. I hope they introduce some type of keymapping interface in a future update!

HiI didn't map very much, but yes. I use GF and Saitek.I am the kind of person though, that likes to click. ( as long as we are not talking about AP or radios. Rotary knobs I don't like to click, but the rest, yes. )I would like to post more, but I don't have the time to fly right now, much less post. As the days go by, I just get busier, I guess that goes for all of us. :( -E.R.The mods can close this thread unless someone knows even an infinitesimal amount of info on the PMDG 737NG.

Hi,No I wasn't being like that, I am genuine, I just am not techy, I really don't know. Like I said eirlier, I set it up just like any other time. For example....In the PMDG jetstream, you have to turn off the avionics before start and shutdown, so.... I assigned a button (not a keyboard key) to avionics. Remember though, that there are swich guards on many swiches, maybe that is what is messing you up, I dont know. Another example of a guard problem, my gear lever on the hardware, not in the sim, wouldn't retract the gear. I forgot about the locking pin in this plane. I just got it the day before yesterday and as I said, I have been really busy, so have not had time to play with it. I did find that some swiches are assigned to different names though. So I didn't do anything special. There may be more funcionality than even I think at this point. Havn't had the time to really go through it. Of course if anyone is brave enough to read the 600 page manual, they might have included info on this. Sorry it takes me time. Remember that I can't go into config files and stuff 'cause I'll crap my whole comp. up. Sorry if I came across as not wanting to help, I want to help all the people who have purchased this wonderfull plane, and I don't want anyone frustrated w/ me. Sorry that there is really not much info here to go on, I don't know what to tell you. I could say to put the forty-niner in the upper downer in the dot cfg line 45 then type "09cy34o8r7yr8" as well as moving the hinkie hinie to mars, and then it would all work perfectly....but of course that would be a lie and giberish, and not help you at all. If I actually knew what I was doing I am sure I would be of more help. Thanks, and sorry-E.R. :( Mad Dog, It would be really nice if you would post or PM that info, but it is up to you.I have to run oiut the door, I will check this when I get back, I just posted the a message and realized that you can since it is a PDF, the manual that is, someone just right click, say find and then type keymapping or something else related. Just keep pressing find again, and it will take you through the doc untill you get back to your first occurence. Sorry wrong spelling of word late have to run.
