Where to fly first when you get your copy of FS2004

Featured Replies

Hi All,I was just curious where folks would go on their first trip out of the FS2004 Box.As for me I believe I will be heading to Alaska to check out the "New and Improved" version of the 49th state.Dave

Chicago O'Hare to La Guardia! I wanna see how the Big Apple looks!EricArea51Intel

My first flight will be from EKRK in Denmark to a non towered airport, im looking forward to see how the new ATC is working.OHN

You have to start out at Meigs and buzz the city then head over to O'hare in a Cessna 172. It is just a flight sim tradition.

Amen to that! I can't possibly imagine any other possiblity. Now, (crossing fingers) let's just hope that MS wasn't so on top of things that they've already got the big X trenches carved into Meigs already - the way that it is in real life. Oh man, I hope not. I haven't asked a single "beta" question yet, but if I did, it would have been, "Is Meigs still in one piece?"Joe Miller

Amen amen!Default plane with default radio settings - hopefully that'll be 9R at O'Hare, so it's up to altitude and down the 'slope to O'Hare.Upon touchdown, it's over to the hometown airports to see what they are like...-Greg

> "Is Meigs still in one>piece?">>Joe Miller>From what I have read, Meigs is still in fs2004, and fully functional.

When I get my copy of FS2004 I will go to my home airport (KISP/ISP) on long Island and get in that beautiful looking Learjet 45, head west over New York City area and then land back at KISP/ISP.

Well, I think I should take a trip around Meigs, or maybe the default airport if it isn't Meigs. I don't think I would be possible experience the first fly in FS2004 since I'm gonna swoon right after I have started the first trip :-lol

Gotta do the mountains 1st - always judge new FS (1st impression)with clouds, mesh relief, landclass realism, and a nice familiar IFR flight.... I'll hop in my trusty KingAir, depart Missoula, head over to Jackson Hole, Salt Lake, or maybe, San Jose. Really holding my breath for ATC improvements - just hope they've added all I've read about...... can't wait !RonKORLP-IV - 2.8GHz(2) 512 Kingston PC2700 DDR SDAsus P4PEATI 9700 Pro 128 meg OEMWD 80GB HDD 7200rpm 2MB cacheLite-On 52X CD-RW / NeroXP Home

Well, I think ill start from my home field of KMGC and go exploring all over Northern Indiana in either the DH88 Comet or another old plane :) . And depending on how long I fly, I might head down south to Indy and maybe as far as Louisville, KY.

Meigs, absolutely! Then after that it's off to Stanton (SYN) & Airlake (LNV) to check out the AI traffic at non-towered airports! I shall be alone no more!

What else? As others said, the Meigs and Chicago experience.
