October 7, 200916 yr I've tried to find a solution to this on the Level-D/Flight-1 forum, but can't get an answer....When flying using the virtual cockpit, there's a 'clickspot' to open the overhead panel in 2-D.As I use a widescreen monitor, the overhead panel takes up the whole width. Therefore, I can't find a way to click anything to close the overhead and get back to the virtual cockpit (without using right-click/close window). Is there a workaround for this, or an easy way to create a 'close-window' clickspot somewhere on the 2-D overhead panel? Thanks for any suggestions.Toni.

October 8, 200916 yr Can you mark one corner of the 2D window, hold left mouse button, and make it smaller, hence revealing the button?! The size you set it to should stay that way next time you open it.Alternatively, if you have fsuipc, see if you can assign a joystick-button or a key for toggling that particular 2D window view. October 8, 200916 yr The overhead panel can be accessed pressing SHIFT + <numeric key>. I can't remember which one it is, something like SHIFT+3, but if you try them all from SHIFT+1 to SHIFT+9 you will find all the pop-up panels for the LEVEL-D.Steve Stephen Munn
October 8, 200916 yr And such a combination (or more) you can even assign to a mouse-button, easy-peasy :( "I´ll rather be down here wishing I was up there than be up there wishing I was down here"

Reduce the size of the popup window. Open up the panel.cfg file and redefine the window size. Something like window_size= 0.50, 0.80 means .5 of the width and .8 of the height of the screen.2. Add an invisible toggle switch to the popup panel. If you can find the name of the gauge in the VC, you can add the same gauge to the popup window. Bert
October 8, 200916 yr Hi ToniI saw yor posting on the Level-D forum, and was going to suggest a pop-up gauge for the overhead panel but sorry to say I was sidetracked by the real world and forgot to contact you, again sorry about that.Anyway I have made a gauge that does what you want and closes the 2D overhead by adding a clickspot in the same location as the VC overhead, if you want me to send it along you can contact me either via the Level-D forum, or through this forum, my E-Mail address should be in both of my profiles.I hope it helps.Jim Hodkinson (the same forum ID at Level-D)
October 8, 200916 yr Thanks Jim But that's the whole point - the clickspot is completely masked/hidden by the overhead....Toni.Then I don't understand what you're talking about. In the VC there's only one small strip of the panel at the top. It sounds like you're talking about the 2d panel where you click on the overhead and it nearly covers the screen. You'll have to goto one of the edges there and reduce it's size. I have a 30" monitor and do not have the issues you are having. In the VC, you can simply move the hat on your joystick and move the view up to the overhead. Sorry for being so confused. Hope you find a fix soon.Best regards,Jim Young
