Navigraph on 64 Bit Systems

Featured Replies

I am looking at installing the Navigraph airac cycles on my 64 bit Vista system, but looking at the navigraph support page, they comment, the software is not supported on 64 Bit systems. Several users on their forum say no issues and others seem to have issues.Seems to be two problem areas in 64 bit machines. maps and charts seem to have some issues. FMS data seem to have less issues. My question for our 64 bit guys with say PMDG 747 (x in may case):Do you have have issues with navigraph updates each month? As I have FSX/PMDG loaded on its own partition away from C:, did you have to manually pick navigraph files up amd relocate them to FSX/PMDG location? as I read the program does not offer a choice of location when self installing?Geoff Bryce

No issues that I have noticed on Windows 7 64-bit. FSX is on my D: drive, and the installer places the files in the correct directories. Some installers give me a Windows error message saying "This program may not have been correctly installed", I think the Navigraph installers are among those (I don't remember exactly). Anyway, as I wrote above, the actual AIRAC updates are correctly installed.Maybe the issues you mention is with the map software they also sell?

Geoff,If when installing Navigraph data ... just point (browse) the installer to where your FSX.exe file is.Navigraph will then automatically put the data in the correct folder for you.

I've never had an issue with the navigraph installers. They automatically find the correct directories for both FS9 & FSX.

Never had any problems here. Don't forget to install as administrator.

OK, I purchased the annual cycle from Navigraph and installed it. Works great, including the map/chart software. So, that confirms advice that Navigraph works ok on 64 bit machines. Geoff Bryce
