Win 7 Tweaks

Featured Replies

I was wondering if the vista tweaks would apply to win 7 as well. thanks

I never had any need applying any Win7 tweaks, except possibly turning off 2-3 services which I will absolutely never need. Win7 runs better out of the box than XP.

I have asked Nick_N when he plans to release a tweak guide. His response is to wait until Win7 releases the first service pack update. Then he will begiin working on tweaks for Win7

You could try tweaking it yourself and report your findings back here, don't think SP1 would be available until mid next year.

The only processes I turned off so far are Home Group Listener and Home Group Provider. You could turn off time stamping for used files.

Hello Friends!!I am sorry to say that I don't have any experience about the Windows7.I have not installed yet. Just planned to install, waiting for a good time to install in my system.By the ways the question of yours was to tweak Windows7. I have a answer towards you question and that is to review this site "www.tweakguides.com" and I hope it will satisfy you requirement though it is vista or Windows7 or XP.

Two nights ago I went through this list and used that to tweak Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit,http://205.252.250.26/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1208959973Use XP tweaks unless Nick specifically states in the list not to use them for Vista, use the Vista tweaks as noted. You will find that not everything in Windows 7 is called the exact same thing as it is in XP and Vista, but it is close enough to figure it out. If the list said to do something and I could not find it in Windows 7 then I skipped it.I hope that this helps.Rod
