Question for those watching "Ice Pilots NWT"

Featured Replies

Currently Buffalo Airlines flies DC3's, DC4's and C46's ( http://www.icepilots.com/fleet.php ).They are flying into short runways of approx 4000 ft.They need to carry large payload (6 tonnes to 10 tonnes) and do so in extreme winter conditions - and be fuel efficient. So my question is this:What would be a suitable modern aircraft that could replace these WWII era birds ?thanks,Mark.

A Dash-7 comes to mind.. maybe a Shorts-360.. and a C-130 can get big loads in/out of short runways..

Dash 7 is a good choice. Also there is a Dash 8 combi that could be used. I believe Canadian North Airways has a few in a 21 pac/ 3000 lb cargo config. Dash is definitely good in winter, not sure about Shorts though.Mark.

Yes Joe is in it quite a bit. This being on the Canadian History channel they let the swearing go but they still have to cut half of what Joe says. LOL.

nope it says you must be in canada to watch it.
Try Hotspot Shield. This is how Canadians what American TV feeds and get around the local IP restrictions. Not sure if this will work from the US.Mark.
