December 8, 200916 yr I don't want to have to buy another program just to compile plans for one plane, no matter how good, I am on a fixed income, can you please make her FSX plan compatible like the34 MD-11 and 747, and ensure that the new 737 is?
December 8, 200916 yr You could consider creating your plans with SimRoutes which allows you to save them in PMDG format. Paul Smith.
December 9, 200916 yr You could consider creating your plans with SimRoutes which allows you to save them in PMDG format.I tried a couple of well used European routes in that and it came back "no routes found". Iain Smith
December 9, 200916 yr Try entering just the airport code you are interested in departing from or arriving to and pressing 'Find routes'. Paul Smith.
December 9, 200916 yr vroute (http://www.vroute.net) is another option - just download the freeware version.(I don't think the freeware version saves directly to PMDG, but JS41 routes are usually so short that entering by hand is not much of a problem). December 9, 200916 yr Commercial Member Or... you could just enter the route into the FMS like real pilots do. :( Seriously, this plane flies very short routes, it takes me all of about 30 seconds to enter almost any route into it. I have tried both methods that you have described to no avail.1) I have placed a copy of the FSX .pln file into the PMDG\FlightPlans folder and then tried to access same via the J41's FMS, but it is not showing up.2) I made the .cfg file you spoke of in your post linked above, and then followed your procedures to the letter, but no menu choice of 'ATC Route' shows up. ( I have a question though Ernie; you mentioned at 5.- in your post:-[5 - Load your Copilot route into the FSPlanner (or generate a new route with the FSPlanner).] Precisely what is the "Copilot route"?Thanks for any enlightenment you can offer.Regards,GodfreyG :(

Do this by cycling the FPL button until you return back to pagfe 1 of the Flight Plans list. That will refresh the list of stored flight plansand any new files you added will then display. Also note the FMS only displays routes by the Dep and Dest, so look for that and not a filename.2) I made the .cfg file you spoke of in your post linked above, and then followed your procedures to the letter, but no menu choice of 'ATC Route' showsDid you reload the Aircraft ? The .cfg setting won't take effect until the aircraft is loaded again. Also the ATC RTE only displays on the Temp Flight Page which normally displays when you load a stored flight light, it would display above the 'Select' label. To get to this page without loading a stored flight plan, go to the FPL page and keep pressing FPL until you are on the last page of the flight plans list. Click on theright LSK that is below the last item on the list. When you do that a label will display in yellow named 'NEXT FPL'. That will allow you to go to the temp flight plan page withoutloading a stored route. And you will see the 'ATC RTE' label displayed.up. As always, you are very detailed and informative. I will certainly give your instructions a whirl !!!Regards,GodfreyG :(
December 11, 200916 yr Ernie, once again thank you. I finally figured out what I was doing wrong :( . I am not even going to mention my silliness in this forum :( !! All's Well that Ends Well !! :( Best Regards,GodfreyG B)
December 22, 200916 yr Hi Ernie,I seem to be stuck and I wish the last poster had mentioned how he finally got it going ... it's probably my problem too.Anyway, I get to the point where the Yellow label comes up but when I push Enter on it I get a new page with no mention of ATC RTE.Here's the JS4100_FMS.cfg file in the PMDG folder.ShowAtcRteLabel=1//-----------------------------------------------I've attached a couple of snagits which may help debug me!Thanks for any ideas and BTW being able to convert an FSX FP to PMDG is a real time saver ... the add-on programs won't use the PMDGso you're forced to create and load both for WX etc. Congratulations on your work ... I'd pay to have you finish off the FMC features!!!Regards,Ken Park Ken Park One day I'll make a good landing even if it kills me!
December 23, 200916 yr You need to select "select" then Enter, to make the flightplan active. Then you should see ACT RTEKev Townsend
December 23, 200916 yr Hi Kev,Thanks for the reply ... but "select" doesn't seem to be an option. What step am I missing ... you can see the screens? Select won't bring up the "White" flight plan. Regards,Ken Ken Park One day I'll make a good landing even if it kills me!
