"Other Arctic Silver 5 heatsink compound professionally hand installed by our technicians"LOL, marketing is hilariousSystem looks great. Not a thing I'd change there.

Wow, that's probably going to run EXTRA cool... :( By the way, specs look good...good luck

CAS 9 memory @ 1.6GHz is pretty slow consumer-grade stuff...6GB of 1600 MHz CAS 7 would be better in an overclocked system.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

You could probably save money on your case. The Antec 902 is, in my opinion, overpriced, when you can get the Coolermaster 690 with 3 stock 120mm fans with room to upgrade for 3 140mm fans more, and it is cheaper!

Didn't even notice the C9. Good catch Bob.

Thanks guys, I had already noticed the C9. I discussed it with the supplier and they rather surprisingly said that they would have to wind down the overclock if I went for faster memory, so I stuck with what was on offer - as I said before, I don't have time to play with overclocking settings myself. Should get it next week, then the fun will start :)--Bryn

That's not right. A lower CAS latency doesn't require anything but changing the timings in the BIOS. That mobo can handle CAS 7 RAM at 1600 without a problem. Sounds to me like they're trying to offload some skunky memory from their inventory.Caveat Emptor...Bob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

I just got a PC from www.maxforcepc.com and you should let Max quote on your configuration and I expect that Max would not have a problem with using the faster memory. A lot of the web based PC builders with configuration based web pages will only use the parts on their page, no deviation or they make it hard for you to deviate.Max is a true custom builder, you give him a list of parts and he will build it and if he has a problem with any of the parts that you want to use he will let you know why. Over at MaxForcePC under the System Status Reports forum my PC is listed as Store PC.One thing I would add to your list if you can afford the upgrade is an HD dedicated to only FSX and FSX addons, most people go with a WD Velociraptor 10,000 RPM, get the 300MB so you have room to expand.Rod

I agree with you Bob. I suspect the troops manning the order lines have been told not to allow any changes which just might affect the reliability of the overclock. They have a configuration that they know works reliably and they don't want to take the risk of dealing with returns for systems that for some reason didn't perform as the customers hoped. ........even if it seems obvious to us that faster memory should make the OC easier! Maybe I'll upgrade the memory when I get my SSD :)--Bryn

Thanks Rod, I'll get a Velociraptor while I am at it. I was hoping SSD prices might have fallen a bit farther, but not just yet.Maxforce looks good - but the wrong side of the Atlantic for me :)--Bryn
