March 24, 201016 yr Hi,I see it takes you to D260E before heading to Midhurst (MID). I'll send you a copy of the file. All I fixed was the AR1 to AR21. Mike, no you're not the only one. It happens to me quite a bit and I have just learned to look at the map and make sure the plan forms a relatively great circle route before I proceed. If I see a significant deviation like that I just delete it in the grid and use the rebuild from table grid option. I always just chalked it up to identical waypoints confusing the program. I would lke to have a copy of your fix, though so I'll PM you in a minute.Hey, just for sh**s and giggles, try the autobuild for EGKK to CYYZ using the KENE2M SID, for instance. :( Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
March 24, 201016 yr I'm talking about the AUTO GENERTAE / BUILD fetaure of FSBuild, for those of you that have FSBuild Enter KJFK in DEPARTURE, enter KMIA in DESTINATION, press AUTO GENERTAE, then press BUILD.Here is FSBuilds flightplan from KJFK to KMIAKJFK WAVEY EMJAY J174 WARNN J174 DIW AR14 METTA AR1 HOBEE HEATT5 KMIA - It takes you on a tour of South America (Carrasco) - Total Trip Distance 9067NM. This flight plan takes you over 8,000 NM out of your way. Here is what it should be:KJFK WAVEY EMJAY J174 WARNN J174 DIW AR14 METTA AR21 HOBEE HEATT5 KMIA - Total Trip Distance 979NM.Hi Mike,The KJFK-KMIA route you are referring to is not actually being autogenerated by Fsbuild. When you press the Autogenerate button by default when it finds a stored route between those 2 points it uses thatand posts it into the Flight Plan box. This will be confirmed by the text in the status box 'Stored Route Found!'.What has happened over time (which you are also seeing now with Vroute) as each Navdatacycle changes, a few stored routes become obsoleted by Navdata changes. No doubt sometime in the recent past METTA AR1 HOBEE was a valid route. But as theyou updated your Navdata some of those stored routes become invalid. But at the time Fsbuild was first released Stored routes were deemed more realisticthan the autogenerated routes and thus by default the aurogenerator selected them. But we were also aware that one should have an option to force the auto generator tobuild a new route from scratch and not use any stored routes. That was done viathe 'SR' button, that is just to the right of the 'Auto Generate' button.Push that button 'up', and the autogenerator builds the route from scratchand does not use a stored route.I also note Fsbuild has a table of 'Preferred' Arrival and Departure routes. Those routesare also used by the Autogenerator, and over time have also become a bit obsolute. Those also can be disabled by turning off that option in the Build Options menu.So what I just did is autogenerated the same KJFK-KMIA route, but with the 'SR' buttonin the 'up' position, and this was my result...As you can see neither AR1,nor AR21 was used.KJFK WAVEY EMJAY J174 SWL J174 SAWED J209 ORF J174 DIW AR22 JORAY.HILEY2 KMIA. (1044 nm)In the second route which you posted that has the AR21 reference. It merely skippedthe AR21 segment because the AR21 airway in the database does not have a segment between METTA and HOBEE. You merely end up with an approx 200 nm DCT leg between METTA and HOBEE.What's being highlighted here with both VRoute, and FSbuild is any stored coded route has a limitedshelf life when the Navdata around it is being regularly updated. If you truly don't want the Fsbuild autogenerator to use any stored routes, without having to botherwith that 'SR' button. Simply remove all the stored routes from the Fsbuild folder. The autogeneratorfinds no stored routes, it makes a new route every time. But again in general stored routes if theyare valid are likely to be more realistic than what the autogenerator comes up with.Regards.Ernie.
March 24, 201016 yr Hi Ernie,As of right now I'm using version 2.3.1, where can I find the version listed earlier?.Nevermind, the one listed earlier is old, here is this the latest update?.http://www.fsbuild.com/dl/Fsbuild2376_2Upd.exe Former Beta Tester - (for a few companies) - As well as provide Regional Voice Set Recordings Two: AMD-9950X | One: AMD-7950X3D | Three: Asus TUF 4090s | Three: 64GB DDR5 RAM 6000mhz | Three: Cosair 1300 P/S | Three: 990Pro 2TB NVME One: Eugenius ECS2512 - 2.5 GHz Switch | Three: Ice Giant Elite CPU Coolers | Three: 75" 4K UHDTVs | One: Boeing 737NG Flight Deck
