January 19, 201016 yr I have a new 4GHz i7 PC running 64 bit Win7, and fitted with a 1TB hard drive.I have separately bought a 300 GB Velociraptor. What is the best way of configuring the system?I could use Acronis to transfer Windows and FSX onto the Velociraptor - there would still be plenty of spare space as I don't run many add-ons - and use the 1 TB drive for everything else.Alternatively, I could leave Windows on the 1 TB drive and just install FSX on the Velociraptor.Any preferences?--Bryn
January 19, 201016 yr Your last option is the best. Install your OS on the 1TB disk and FSX on the VRaptor.
January 19, 201016 yr Good advice on getting the best out of FSX here: http://www.simforums.com/forums/forum_posts.asp?TID=29041

January 19, 201016 yr Author Thanks guys, that's pretty clear then.Unfortunately, just hit another problem with the system. It originally arrived with a damaged cooler so had to be RMA'd to the supplier. It came back today, but is now giving frequent blue screens so looks like I'll be back in touch with the suppliers tomorrow. And to think I bought a complete system because I didn't want the hastle of doing all the build and overclocking myself :(--Bryn

Else you have to be more specific if you dont have huge storage.
January 20, 201016 yr Damaged in shipping. Return the system for a full refund. There is no reason to have to send a brand new PC back to the manufacturer twice for repair.
