I was browing simmarket, when I found this:http://www.myworld2004.com/Apparently, beside mesh and such, it also includes landclass for the entire globe. I do have UTE, but for the rest of the world, I have nothing. This is especially irritating on places I'd like to fly to, like Aruba. When I take off at such a place, I often end up staring into a "void" of sand... I truly hope this addon will fix such things. By the way, I know of the existence of a scenery package that clears up trouble on the Antillies (I'm hinting at the Antillies 2004 pack by the FS Antillies Group. Haven't tried it yet, though), but there are other areas in South America and Asia, for example, for which there seems to be nothing in the form of landclass.Does anybody have the MyWorld2004 Landclass? If so, can you recommend it, or are there better alternatives?EDIT: I was just thinking, does FSGlobal not contains Landclass? Or is it just mesh, like FSGenesis?

HelloI use the 2005 version of Burkhards Landclass http://secure.simmarket.com/myworld2004-wo...5-edition.phtmlVery good worldwide landclass , there is a patch over at scenery solutions to enable UTE landclass to be layered with MYworld2005 so that the UT urban and commercial landclass will have priority in Europe but leaving MyWorld Landclass to call the rural textures.I have not used the Mesh as I use only FSGenesis but anything done by Burkhard will be good.

I second mad dog's comment. A very good world-wide landclass, well worth it. I mostly fly in North America so like mad dog, I let UT's urban and commercial landclass have priority over MyWorld, but MyWorld covers the rural and smaller towns nicely.

I didn't try it yet but i already have two questions :- regarding the installation, it is written "Please copy the file MidEuropeLC.bgl into the folder <FS9>\addon scenery\MyWorldAirports\scenery. This ensures it to be higher in priority than the stock MyWorld2004 Landclass scenery". HelloThe MyWorld2005 install is a fully automated installer MyWorld2004-LandClass2005.exe.this installs everything to a directory in \Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\ and adds its entries intoScenery.CFG.there are only two files that are needed and no file called MidEuropeLC.bglMyWorldLCE.bglMyWorldLCW.bglThere is no install instructions just click and run , Where did you Purchase your copy?It is fully compatable with UT , patches available at Scenery Solutions.EDITMidEuropeLC.bgl was a free demo area released by Burkhard and was included in the updated Myworld2005.Containing the area between Paris and Warshaw, Oslo and Rome.This MidEuropeLC.bgl fileis no longer available as the data is included in the 2005 version.As a registered user I am sure Burkhard will help with any further questions in the Myworld2004 forumhttp://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=26

HelloFirst came Myworld2004 then burkhard began working on Myworld2005, He released the MidEuropeLC.bglas a demo area of Myworld2005 so you already have that data included in your copy.All those addons will greatly improve the Sim, all "must have" addons apart from ULTIMATE NIGHT ENVIRONMENT 2007 which looks great in the screenshots but is way to bright and orange in the sim, be also very careful if you do buy it, back up your textures as you will never get this addon uninstalled properly if you find you do not like it.UT has night lighting (3D but kills frames and autogen) as does GE ProII but the best IMHO are:Filename: fs2k4gnight.zipLicense: Freeware, limited distributionAdded: 10th December 2003Downloads: 22954Author: Chris WillisSize: 6538kbAnd its Update/Fix gnfixv2.zip

HelloThe Ultimate terrain patch allows the UT urban and commercial landclass to show in priority over Myworld2005 leaving Myworld to controls the rural landclass, basically it is a version of UT landclass made "transparent" with only the Urban/Commercial parts showing.Check over at Scenery solutions for information on layering landclass files for best effect.

HelloYes you can do this but then you miss out on Ultimate Terrains Urban and Commercial landclass which most folks feel is more accurate regarding the placement and density of towns/citys and also industrial areas.
