February 2, 201016 yr I bought one of these at BestBuy on Sunday because I was in a tight spot and needed it right away:<< http://www.bestbuy.com/site/BFG+-+1000-Wat...p;skuId=9402309 >>I have an ATX case and I know next to nothing about PSUs -- is this manufacturer any good? I can return it only within the next 10 days. I'd like to buy a PSU "for the future" -- if I hadn't been backed into a corner I would have been looking to go to at least 1,100 Watts. Any suggestions? My current Specs are in my signature. As always, thanks in advance to the group. Smooth Skies! -- Chuck B. February 2, 201016 yr I have one of those, they are fine, no issues here. For a pure FS machine, since we don't typically use SLI or tri-SLI, the overall wattage doesn't have to be ridiculously high.
February 2, 201016 yr BFG is *ok*, but you'll do much better with the likes of Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power & Cooling, Silverstone, and even Antec (only the most recent models though). Also, if you have a Micro Center nearby, I'd definitely recommend them over Best Buy. Way better prices and selection.
February 2, 201016 yr I'm running an Enermax Modulo 82+, seems very nice. I see they now have 84+.scott s..

February 3, 201016 yr Enermax is a great brand as well. I left them out of my previous post not due to any lack of quality on their part, just simply forgot to add them to the list.
