February 4, 201016 yr While PSS Dash 8 is great, I think it is now outdated.Do any of you peeps think there might be somebody that dares to create a new Dash 8? Would it be for FSX only? Or both FS9 and FSX?Is there a more current Dash 8 that I don't know about? Ed OcampoStaff ReviewerAVSIM Online[email protected]Fly DC Jets

February 5, 201016 yr I think he might've not liked the way it looks,as panels and VC use rather poor graphics. Also the model isn't the greatest,it is hard to repaint and because of that there's few liveries,I think.Other then that I can't find anything wrong with it.Solid performance,no CTD's or nasty surprises,it even is one of the few that flies procedures correctly,I don't have the snaking I do get with some otheradvanced addons. Now that it has Navdata support,it blows the PSS dash 8 out of the water,as it is very good systemwise. It is good enough to be used for pilot training and when flown correctlyit is a joy to handfly too.the strongest points of the package for me are the sounds (these are real turboprop sounds, and you should turn up the speakers to enjoy 'm),the airfile/general handling, and the systems,it does what the real dash does, and imho it is excellent.I take the poor panel graphics for granted,as visuals are second when it comes to systems for me personally.JP.

I didn't know it had Navdata support already. That changes a lot. The PSS one is not so bad systems wise, me thinks. What led me off the Majestic was the bad panels (graphic wise) and no Navdata updates. Is there a way to put the PSS panel on the Majestic while maintaing the Majestic functionality? Systems modelling and sound . . . second to none!

February 7, 201016 yr The Majestic Dash 8 is truly second to none in systems and flight model. If you want a preview of it look up the Fanda Dash 8-300 in the library. The visual model is well below average but the systems modelled are extraordinary for a freeware aircraft.
February 7, 201016 yr I am hoping they'll update the panel and vc graphics once the -Q400 is out but regardless I love it to bits.Don't count on it. For starters, the Q400 will be FSX only (I read so on the forums), so I doubt they'll go back to their older, FS9 products. I am in desperate need of a dash 8, I have the pss version but for some reason dont care too much for it, I have to many prbklems with it. Maybe ill check out the fanda model. Whats the main diffrenec between the payware majestic and fanda freeware? The main problem i have with the pss model is that I cant increase heading bug by a single degree, only in increments of 10, which is useless when in autopilot mode. February 7, 201016 yr I just downloaded the fanda dash 8, looks really well made, just curiou though is the fms just a dummy gauge or is it functional???If I had the cash for the majestic it would already be in my hanger, however it is not in the budget :( Intel I7 12700KF / 32 GB Ram-3600mhz / Windows 11 - 64 bit / NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060TI / 32" Acer Monitor, Honeycomb alpha/bravo, CH rudder pedals, Tobii 5, Buttkicker, Logitech radio panel.
