February 11, 201016 yr That does sound bad. Ok, let's check this. If its effecting the default aircraft then its in either FS or your hardware. Go to the control panel and click on the sound icon. Under the advanced settings see what sample rate the card is set up for. Make sure it is set to the highest setting and then test again.Ok i checked again if i had any enhncements and none are enable for sure. A music CD plays just fine.it seems that afer uninstalling and then reinstalling FS the sounds are fine. Great in fact. but after installing nothing else but the 737 the sounds go weird.i also check that the sample rate is set to the maximum.I want to be able to have a 737 and 747 from pmdg with no sound problems. Thanks for your helpReece McCallum
February 11, 201016 yr The problem is unique to your setup, I don't recall this being a topic here since I've been a member. I suggest you send an email to pmdg support. Make sure you get an automatic reponse. Explain what you have found and refer to the thread id number. Meanwhile, maybe someone will come along in the forum who has run into this one before. Really strange. Dan Downs KCRP
February 12, 201016 yr Does your frame rate drop as well?I had an issue with the force feedback settings on a joystick once some time back that caused the frame rate to drop to less than 1 FPS, and stuttering in sound, stepping just like yours...Andrew Andrew Entwistle

February 12, 201016 yr Hi guys, Thanks for your help so far, I really appreciate it.Just found out that it has affected the FS9 aircraft even after uninstall and reinstall.I'm thinking it may be the FS9 installation disk... :( :( Reece McCallum

I bet its the sound hardware driver issue, or XP problem or worse case a problem in the hardware. Are you sure you have the latest driver? What's your sound card and motherboard?Under the advanced options (not sound level settings) in the sound control panel, do you have anything that looks like a setting that changes the sample rate of the sound card? Something like 16 bit at 44khz? If so, make sure it is set to the highest setting, then test. If things change, play around with the setting and see if you can get a better result. George Morris
