J41 & Airac

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,Ive just downloaded the latest cycle for J41. most of my flying is on east coast of Australia. however only the major airports have the approaches. when trying to load a smaller airport such as Scone, Kempsey, Mudgee etc there are no RNAV procedures in the database for the applicable runways. However if i enter the RNAV waypoints individually onto the flight plan they are there. Any fixes you know of, maybe PMDG havnt loaded all the approaches in the database. i can still fly it just takes a bit longer to program the FMC.othersise i just love this plane its great. cant wait for the NGX though!!!

If im not mistaken, navigraph isnt 100% for every airport out there due to limitations on thier data supply. Also, the js41 fms isnt capable of flying a full RNAV approach on its own. From RSR:http://forums1.avsim.net/topic/266254-js41-rnp-capable/page__p__1665098

So far, I have not found a location in the world that Navigraph misses if the location has at least one of these. There are locations that have old procedures but no longer current and these are not in the current data base.

Hi Guys,Yes all the RNAV waypoints are current as per my Jeppesen plates for Australia and particular the airport i use FSX for. The airac for Level D has them however not when i loaded the latest PMDG in J41. As mentioned i can manually load the RNAV waypoints into the final destination in J41 put just takes a tad longer. some of the major capital airports already have the database in there for RNAV but not the smaller regional airports that have current real world data. Its no big drama i was curious thats all, ay just be a database issue with navigraph and PMDG?RegardsSteve ForgacsATPL(H)
