800 Stabllizer Settings Table

Featured Replies

Morning,As a long time 737-800 pilot, it was only today I decided to check the manual for any information pertaining to the stabillizer position during takeoff. I found two lovely tables detailing the -700 and -600 models, but nothing for the -800, -900 models. The FMC always displays the same number for stab trim, so one can only presume it's incorrect after seeing the various settings the manual suggests for the -600, -700.

I've found the NG takeoff trim to be almost inconsequential (unless it too far out). I expect the NGX under development to be a quantum leap in realism.

I don't have the -800 sim, but in RW the trim is almost always about 5 to 5.5.

The trim numbers in the different PMDG-737s seem to be fixed.Whatever is the load the number does not change (always 5.5 in the -700, and something like 4.9, if I remember, in the -800).It looks like PMDG did not model this item but adopted some average or medium values. However, in the PMDG-747 the trim numbers change depending on aircraft load.

HiIf you use the Topcat program you will find that the stabillizer trim values are in the 5- 5.5 range which concurs with the real world situation.Norman Bowman

I have the numbers which can range from 2.1-8.5, all depending on the THRUST, CG, WEIGHT, and FLAPS. But as said in earlier posts usually in the range of 5-5.5.Kevin W.
