CRJ Anyone?

Featured Replies

It's interesting that statistically there are more CRJs (200/700/900s) in operation (total aircraft inventory) in the US than any other airframe, yet there has not been a release (except Wilco/Feelthere CRJ many moons ago) of an updated complex (fully functional FMS/VC/systems etc) CRJ. According to http://www.jetinventory.com/Expand2.aspx database, in 2006 there were over 1000 CRJs operating in the US--the next closest, is the 737 at 712. Besides the German Digital Aviation CRJ 700 project (which I believe is slated for FSX), does anyone know of any other CRJ development work? It would be rather nice if Wilco/Feelthere updated their version in the same vain as ERJv2.ThanksRich Perry

The fact of the matter is I'm pushing for Feelthere to fully upgrade not only their CRJ but the Airbus and 737 series as well. Being someone who has Vic's ear I thought it odd you knew something I didn't know (which is perfectly fine as long as the updates get done). I actually went to Wilco's site to see a surprise and thank Vic for listening. For me if nothing else a VC update for these products would do wonders. If we can get the level of visual quality found in the E-Jet/ERJv2 series put into the CRJ, Airbus, and 737 (even their 777), Feelthere's models would rival any competition no matter how hardcore or otherwise. Now that the talent is in house to make this happen I've pushed for this. I also would like to see Feelthere do a 717 so we'll see what happens. Another thing me and others have pushed for is CLS to update their A300/310 series to the level of their new 767 and 742. I for one believe the A310 would look outstanding updated on the level of their new 767 especially where the VC is concerned.

As far as I'm aware, Digital Aviation are working on a CRJ for FS as you mention, and they may make it for FS9 (possibly, I don't think they've said a definite NO to that, although I may be wrong).Info here, nothing says it won't be in FS9, although admittedly that's a fairly limited bit of info: http://www.digital-aviation.de/site/?page_id=22Al

AlanConcur...let's do hope for an FS9 CRJ from DA. Thanks!RP

From what I remember reading on DA's site, their product won't include the CRJ 200.Rick

I would like to see that too, I like the B717 - I guess I have a fondness for T-tails in general. It would be good if they update all their products up to the standards of the ERJv2. Also do you think that if FeelThere do update their Boeing 737 CL they may consider releasing it at some form of discount for people like myself who already own the first version?
