March 18, 201016 yr Author It pops up after I've already minimized ASE and am in the process of opening the flight in FSX. This could possibly be at the point that the download of historical weather has finished...not sure.
March 18, 201016 yr Jim, the one time I had the red window pop up, it was as the initial screen loaded up--when the screen from which you do all other d/l's, entering flight plan, etc. When I switch to and download historical wx, it has never popped up. March 19, 201016 yr Hi All,Not sure of the fix and no other reports of this. Just gathering enough information from everyone before I make a bug tracker entry.
March 19, 201016 yr Hi I have just seen this post, and I also get the red HiFi Message Box window pop up with the over 3000 data reports are being ignored message, but I only get it on the version of ASE that I have installed on a networked PC that runs in off line mode, the On Line version that is installed on my main system functions perfectly, I use the networked version for the majority of my flying, mainly to take some of the workload of my main FSX system. If I start the networked (off line) version and just import a flight pan for my flight, then I will not get any warning message. The warning appears when I do the following..Start my networked version, import a flight plan, and then use the open button to select a wx file that I have previously saved, and use the refresh button, which brings up the Syntheses Active message in the main screen, then shortly after using the refresh button the message will appear.Or Start my networked version, use the open button to select the previously saved wx file, and wait while process message box on the main screen has completed processing the new wx file, which gets as far as parsing line items, which it seem to be doing for a while, but then the message will appear, and the main process window will show Synthesis updated. The above happens with any previously saved file, as I tried others just in case I had a corrupt wx file. The time difference by the way as reported by windows is four seconds between the two machines, and ASE has check marks in the Local and Force to Sim Time boxes, I have not as yet checked the time as reported by BIOS, but I can only assume that as I have never rest the clocks that that is also in line with the time that windows reports. While typing this I for the first time started my networked version and tried loading weather using the Historical button, which told me that my networked version was not activated, which as I was on line at the time I just let ASE do its thing to activate itself, even though it had been activated when I first installed it on the networked machine, and this seemed to function perfectly, so I thought that I would run through the loading of a saved wx file as noted above again just in case the activation was a cause of the issue, but unfortunately I got the same results in that after a short time I received the pop up message regarding the 3000 data reports and the time being incorrect. My apologies for the length of the post, but I thin that I have covered any information you may need, if not then let me know what you would require, and I will get the information to you as soon as I can. Thanks for taking the time to read all the above waffle, and I look forward to hearing any news regarding this issue, it will not stop me flying as I will just use the last download wx as my flight weather, and even with this issue I would still like to take the time to say that this is in all honesty a fantastic product, and thank you as well for the free update from ASA, it was greatly appreciated.Jim Hodkinson
March 20, 201016 yr Hi againI just thought I would make a small update to my post. After my off line networked version asking for activation yesterday after testing the various scenarios for getting the warning message, I have just used my main version which is always in on line mode to generate some weather for the flight I was about to make when this installation also asked me to activate the product, I have no idea if the two activation requests are linked in any way, it just seems an odd coincidence so I thought I may as well add it to my post for information purposes just in case, as this has not happened for a long time as I am sure your records will confirm.Jim Hodkinson
March 27, 201016 yr Author Since my computer clock likes to gain time, I turned it back a minute and opened ASE punched in a historical weather and then opened FSX, and got the same warning again. I can't tell that it is affecting the weather at all. It looks just like it should for the dates I choose, but again, I always use Historical Weather so I haven't tried it with current weather yet.Bill
March 27, 201016 yr I've been doing flights regularly using both real time on line and historical on line wx with no incidents other that just that one. Oh well... :( Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
March 27, 201016 yr Hi Bill,Right now you are the only one reporting this, so please keep us updated on this situation.
April 1, 201016 yr Hi,Well, I got the Warning. Over 3000 data reports are being ignored due to their date/time stamp being too old (red box message) for the first time today. I use real time (active) weather not historic. My date and time are correct. My system is 23 seconds slower than the atomic clock. April 1, 201016 yr I'm now getting this same error message. ASE was fine last night. My computer clock is correct as my wristwatch is sync'd to the atomic clock and both are the same.
April 1, 201016 yr Jim, Restarted ASE and got no warning. Flew a complete flight of about one hour and had no problems. I have no idea why I got the warning.
April 1, 201016 yr Just wanted to weigh in also. I first got this warning tonight. My computer clock is correct also, but in my case the warning persists after multiple restarts of ASE.
April 1, 201016 yr I'm now getting this same error message. ASE was fine last night. My computer clock is correct as my wristwatch is sync'd to the atomic clock and both are the same.Got the same error out of nowhere on my flight last night. Nothing changed on my side but half way through a flight I started getting the pop-up last night...-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
