Hello guys/girlsI recently purchased MD 11 for Fs2004. I am running windows vista 7/64 bit with 1680x945 resolution. My problem is that when the plane is initialized the gauges show up in VC with no problem. HOWEVER, in 2d cockpit, they are all blank. I am attaching a screen shots below. + i also cannot move the yoke. It is frozen in one place even when the plane is set for take off. I have a hunch that something is corrupted. Sometimes the gauges do finally show up in 2d cockpit but when u move the plane the 2d cockpit gauges are frozen and the vc cockpit gauges act normally. I have a powerful laptop. I also have installed PMDG 747 and PMDG 737. I downloaded a plane from torrent website some time ago and installed it, then i decided to buy it. Maybe the illegal copy corrupted my regestry and now the legal copy doesnt work because of ittAny suggesions?? I contacted PMDG and no answer. :(

Very likely. Your best bet may be a reinstall of FS9, to undo whatever the PMDG anti-piracy code may have done.

You are not likely to get official support here, unless you follow the forum rules and sign your post with your full, real name. Especially since you acknowledge having used a stolen copy of the software.

He used the pirate copy as a demo before he bought the sim, thats not stealing. I'd be surprised if PMDG actually had anything against that, as it gained them an additional customer. Using a pirate copy isnt really stealing either, as the original owner do not lose anything. Its like saying using pirate copies is murder. Its not, its a totally different crime. I'm quite sure they are dead against any type of piracy, regardless of whatever lame excuses are made afterwards.

I agree, it's not murder. But if you pirate software that someone else has invested time and money in creating, the lay term "stealing" covers it quite nicely.

Uh no, it most definitely is. People are not entitled to go steal the full version of a piece of software to "demo" it - if we wanted to provide a demo, we would. I don't think we need to personally, everyone knows that our products are among the best, this is just an excuse.I'm glad the person here in this case did buy it (or at least says he did, without a name I can't verify that), but that doesn't excuse doing this. Just because software isn't a physical object doesn't make piracy acceptable - people are using our product and gaining enjoyment and knowledge from it and we aren't being paid for creating it - that situation is not OK. i would suggest using the Flight 1 Registry Repair toolhttp://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=libraryAfter running that, if it doesn't fix it, Reinstall the PMDG product.If that still doesn't fix it you may need to reinstall Flight Simulator from scratch.Pirated software does nasty things sometimes that last far beyond forseen circumstances. :( The loss of FS9's Registry (and subsequent ability to install and use complicated software) may be an effect of this.Best luck.Trent Hopkinson

Nothing helped. I did the repair registry + reinstalled the sim. I have a no CD crack 9.1 and also running it as an administrator in windows 7. If this may help, when i press the gauges in the 2d panel, the newly opened panel comes out but the gauges DO show up. I attached a screen shot to help explain what i mean. AND how come when i plug my joystick in i can use the flight controls but when i unplugged i cannot control the flight controls with my keyboard?? Thanx

Maybe the VS C++ redistributals? Run the MD11 installer and select repair for both aircraft and the C++ runtime libraries. If the MCDU (FMS) is in keyboard mode the keyboard cannot be used for other things like keycommands.
