April 4, 201016 yr I have the original version #1 installed already and I want to install the v2. Do I need to UNINSTALL the version #1 BEFORE I INSTALL the v2 or can I install the v2 over the top of v1 and have both versions on my computer ( FS2004) ? jerrycwo4
April 4, 201016 yr First check these FAQs:http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=12http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/viewtopic...?f=70&t=904http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/forum/ucp.php?mode=registeris the registration page of their forum where you might find the answer. I would also check any readme if one was included in the install download. In general if it was not offered as an upgrade but paid full price you may as well uninstall the original but keep the flight1 installer .exe handy just in case. If it is an upgrade version then there might be a special install procedure. Know your flight1 issued password keys. I have not used a flight1 wrapped installer for a long time.Be sure to read those first two FAQs especially if you are running VISTA or Win7.One of the two Eaglesoft team members visit here regularly so check for a reply here. They already did to your first thread on the differences.
April 4, 201016 yr There is no need to uninstall, as they are two completely separate products. However, once you have tried the v2 Citation, you will not go back to v1 - so then you might as well uninstall it! :) Graeme Butler
April 5, 201016 yr Eaglesoft CX1.0 and CX2.0 are specific builds for each MS Flightsimulator Version. This means you can install the purchased FS9 CX2.0 on FS9 or the purchased FSX CX2.0 on FSX but you cannot install cross platform. That is to say, the FS9 CX2.0 will not work in FSX nor will the FSX CX2.0 work in FS9.If you already own the CX1.0 there is no need to unstall it as the CX2.0 installer will not interfere with the existing CX1.0 installation. :(The proper FAQs link from our mainsite is here: http://www.eaglesoftdg.com/faq.htm
April 5, 201016 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply. I think I'll "buy" the v2 today and install it today. I looked at a few videos on You Tube about the operation the FMC. I do not know who made them but he did a great job of explaining the FMC. A big thanks to him. jerrycwo4

April 6, 201016 yr Author Well, I did buy and install the v2 and I'm really glad that I did NOT uninstall version 1 before installing v2. It's quite an aircraft! Dang, took me 30 minutes to try to figgure out how to start the engines ( using the book) but so far I have not been able to start the engines using FDC as I do with v1. At least I can still fly the v1 model while I try to figgure out the MORE complex v2. I think learning to fly the v1 is a BIG help in trying to learn v2 jerrycwo4

I believe the only 'shortcuts' are supporting reading a flight plan directly from the FS GPS flight planner and bypassing actual alignment time for the IRUs. April 6, 201016 yr FYI:"FDC" = Flight Deck Companion application.http://www.oncourse-software.co.uk/fdc_live_cockpit.htm
April 6, 201016 yr It appears that no one has setup a profile for our CX2.0 with the FDC Program. Please note that our unique FO does offer much of what we see offered and has since CX1.0. :(
April 6, 201016 yr Commercial Member I'll also mention that addon probably requires that the aircraft use 100% default FS variables for everything it 'checks'... which isn't going to happen with a complex addon. Ed Wilson Mindstar AviationMy Playland - I69
