April 6, 201016 yr I have recently changed PC's and come to realise that my fs9.cfg was heavily modified in various ways. However having not make a backup of the fs9.cfg before wiping my old system I am having difficultly in recalling the text required to allow the 2D cockpit view to remain "locked" after pressing one of the numeric keypad keys;i..e To look left in 2D you press four however when releasing the key the view reverts forward. I am sure there was a mod that allowed the view to remain until you pressed one which moved you back, looking forward.Does anybody have the required text to add to the fs9.cfg?

April 6, 201016 yr A new trick from an old dog. If your in the 2D mode and you want to say hold down a view that you pull up by keying one of the number key pads, say the 90 * right hand view, press and HOLD down the #6 keypad key and while still holding down the #6 key, press and release the "number lock key", then let go of the #6 key and the right 90* view will be LOCKED into place. (I think, I'm going from memory here) do the reverse steps and you'll have your original view back. jerrycwo4
April 6, 201016 yr Hello chapsI still reckon FLUSIFIX is the best option. No fiddling with other keys, hat switch etc just hold down one numeric key for each view.IMHO of course, cheers Andy :(
April 6, 201016 yr The FS default "Look-----" commands (see Assignments) uses the numeric KB keys (with Num Lock on) to set up a view. To lock a view in place, use Control + a Num key.If you change these View assignments to Shift + a Num key, each Num key stroke by itself, will both set AND lock the view. Very handy- especially when setting up triple views. <grin>Alex Reid
April 6, 201016 yr You can use FlusiFix if you want to, but it is not necessary. A very simple edit to the FS9.cfg file is all that is required.I explain what is involved in this post at Flightsim:http://forums.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthrea...d=1#post1446287Hope that helps.
April 6, 201016 yr HA!Why bother with all that CFG fiddling when flusi will do all that for you automatically and reverse the process for you if want as well.AND! You can try all the other tweaks that FLUSI offers as well.BEAT THAT THEN!.Andy :(

Next time you hit f.i. #7, the views locks at forward left. To get out, just hit #8.Thor Henning Pauslen Thor H
