Merging ISD's Rome scenery with Lago's Rome scenery?

Featured Replies

For the longest time I have been using Lago's Rome scenery (it comes with LIRF, LIRA, and LIRU) but now I want to use the ISD scenery with the Lago scenery. In the readme for the ISD scenery it says the 2 will work together but it doesn't say how to do it. So how would I merge the ISD Rome scenery with the Lago scenery?

I don't have both to try this out, but logically all you should need to do is install the ISD scenery to load after the Lago one. Worth trying, anyway.John

You should install Lago first, than ISD. And make sure that ISD have higher priority over the Lago in scenery configuration option. Hope this will work for you.

My Specification: I CAN RUN FSX IN MAX SETTINGS....i don't care about dell, bell, amd, intel, 60000 wats power supply or alien made graphic card....

Doesn't work... And here is the real kick, the LAGO scenery doesn't appear in the scenery library... even though the scenery is active.

Well i don't have any of those, but i think, if you said so, that Lago install just files without making a folder inside FS. But whenever he put files, if you put ISD in scenery library on top of the others, it should work.

If you can see your LAGO scenery, it must be listed somewhere in the Scenery Library or, quite simply, it wouldn't load.So I would suggest you closely re-examine your Scenery Library listing and find both the ISD and LAGO sceneries' entries and position them so that the ISD one is higher up the list as seen in the Scenery Library (i.e. a smaller Priority number). I am emphasising this because of you look at the actual scenery.cfg file, everything looks to be the other way round in terms of order. This can confuse!I think that will give you one of two results:1. What you want it to do2. Both sceneries to be mixed together, in which case I would be inclined to email the developers if they have said the sceneries will co-exist.Good luck,John

Hi,I got it working, but it's a bit tricky. If someone wants to try it, here's how to do it:(Please, make a backup of your Cloud 9 Rome folders first!)1. First install Cloud 9 Rome, then ISD Rome.2. Folder structure. We need the following:- Rome Cloud9 <---- Original Cloud 9 folder- Rome Terrain Cloud9 <---- Original Cloud 9 folder- Rome ISD <---- ISD Rome LIRF installation(This is how I named the ISD Rome folder; feel free to name it as you wish)"Rome CLoud9" and "Rome ISD" have both scenery and texture subfolders, while"Rome Terrain Cloud9 only has the scenery subfolder3. Look at the attached cld.txt file. It contains a list of necessary files that need to be in the "Rome Cloud9\scenery" folder. Delete the files that are not on the list from the folder4. Look at the attached isd.txt file. It contains a list of necessary files that need to be in the "Rome ISD\scenery" folder. These are the ISD scenery files. 5. Scenery.cfg order: [Area.221]Title=Rome TerrainLayer=221Active=TRUERequired=FALSELocal=D:\FSscenery\Europe\Rome Terrain Cloud9Remote=[Area.222]Title=Rome Cloud9 ISDLayer=228Active=TRUERequired=FALSELocal=D:\FSScenery\Europe\Rome Cloud9 ISDRemote=[Area.223]Title=Rome ISDLayer=229Active=TRUERequired=FALSELocal=D:\FSScenery\Europe\Rome ISDRemote=This is directly from my scenery.cfg. You numbers will be different - it's the order that's important.Do this at your own risk, I spent quite a while deleting and reinstalling files, tossing them around... but it works. With AES, too. :)Hope this helps....Regards,Jure

Ok, I PM'd him so hopefully he will respond soon. Otherwise I fear I will need to start the process of trying to merge the two myself...Nail%20Biting.gif

Hi guys,I'm afraid I don't have the files anymore, but I can always make a new list, since I am still using the above combination. I'll try and do it today when I'm home from work, but I've been having a lot of problems with my FS computer after installing new RAM and a GTX 460. Please, be patient... :smile:Regards,Jure
