HELP with Tweaks-Jesus

Featured Replies

Hi all, Have been experimenting with the ******* tweaks but am missing one piece of the puzzle. Where can I obtain the Frame Rate Limiter applet? I've Googled it with no luck. Perhaps I'm using the wrong words to search. Thanks, Craig

I'm frustrated that I can't get this to work. I followed the instructions exactly, and when I click on the batch file to load FSX, a DOS screen appears for a split second, then disappears. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance.Curt

Be sure you have Java installed.

I think you need to have UAC disabled, but im not 100% sure

Nevermind, it was the compatibility mode that needed to be checked. Thanks anyway.Curt

I just went thru this. The black dos box hangs around after starting fsx. When you shut down fsx, you have to wait a few extra secoonds, to "hit any key", to close the dumb box. Don't you just love it.Further, I understand there are no indications that it is working. You just have to "know" that it is. FSX continues to indicate "unlimited FPS" and should you use SHFT-Z for onscren info, that also indicates "unlimited". But, the brains behind it all, continue to tell me, this is as good as it gets - and its free. :( Ray

I minimize the dos window after it launches, and close it after closing FSX. At the free flight screen, I get a display that shows the fps limited to 30.
