April 24, 201016 yr Jim,Any idea on time frame when we will see a "usable" version of ASE?Thanks,Mitch
April 24, 201016 yr ROFL, been using it since the day it was released, not encountered one problem that I would call significant.I think you meant when would a patch address whatever issues are relevant to you. Yes I see issues being reported, yes I am sure theya re significant to you and others, no, ASE does not need a patch to make it useable, and its a big improvement over ASA and ASX.Yes I may be feeling grumpy today but such statements give everyone else the wrong impression.Ian

I have FS9, and I swear that ASE does not work well.Stop.
April 24, 201016 yr turn off the active sky wind control, use fsuipc for that. And leave everything else default, no issues here since day one release as well
April 25, 201016 yr At least "Mitch" waited longer than 9 days before service pack topics this time.March 11:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=278962March 20:http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=279780ASE is still working good enough for me. It has some problems but nothing that makes it un-usable. Jeff Calder
April 25, 201016 yr I never said that ASE is garbage.ASE is a fantastic product, wonderful, the best. But it still has many bugs, this is also known to the guys of HiFi, since they are preparing aservice packs, and suggesting to eliminate some options.I do not know why, but (with FS9), with some flight plans, the clouds disappear, from overcast, from broken, toCAVOK, suddenly. This is not good.If I make criticisms, it is because I have a great respect for HiFi.I take an example: I have also purchased REX, but (IMHO) it is bad. I have not done criticism to REX, Itotally eliminated the software.PS: I apologize if I did errors of English, but I'm Italian (from Milan)Paolo
April 26, 201016 yr Hi All,I will go back through this thread and clean it up a bit. So if your posts are gone you will know why. For the last few weeks we have had Release Candidates being tested but they were not ready to go out as SP1 so we held them back. We are continuing with our testing.

April 26, 201016 yr Sorry Jim, I'll try to clean up my act a little. Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
April 26, 201016 yr Nemo,No, that is not it. Our software is pretty complex and many parts of it internally interact with each other, and our release standards are quite high. Also, we are not dealing with a real solid platform in FS, especially with FSX-SimConnect.
April 26, 201016 yr Also, we are not dealing with a real solid platform in FS, especially with FSX-SimConnect.Is there a disadvantage in using FSUIPC to connect instead .. .. ??Having looked through the logs on some of the flights where I have had destination weather problems I tend to see that ASE has sent the weather data for the destination airport several times, but for some reason FSX seems to ignore it !!G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
April 26, 201016 yr "Having looked through the logs on some of the flights where I have had destination weather problems I tend to see that ASE has sent the weather data for the destination airport several times, but for some reason FSX seems to ignore it !!"Exactly what I am seeing - here is the similar thread: http://forums1.avsim.net/index.php?showtopic=280296It is like FSX is ignoring the data or it is being blocked in FSUIPC somehwere?Wish this could have been diagnosed and included in SP1 which has just been released.Rob.
