May 22, 201016 yr HiI bought a new 24" monitor and I can now set the resolution at 1960x1080.So far, I had a 19" inch and was at max 1280x1024.Two times, I was spotting a/c with the spot view and with no apparent reason, FS9 quit. No CTD, no nothing, just the window closed and back to desktop. I don't remember this happen two times in a row before. Two different places, of course. My videocard is a 8800GTS. Do you think 1960x1080 could too much for the card? Any other reason? Thanks for your feedback.Ghiom
May 23, 201016 yr No error message?A shot in the dark here...Try it with Vsync enabled. Or disabled if it is enabled.Make sure your monitor drivers are installed as well.. Al Stiff
May 23, 201016 yr Not sure if its a typo or not..but I've never heard of a 1960x1080 resolution..do you mean 1920? If not, thats something to look into. Also, check to make sure your graphics card isn't overheating because of the added stress. Are you running Vista/Win7 or XP? - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |

Worst case let FS rebuild the display section of your .cfg...-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Do you think I should still rebuild FS9.cfg?ThanksGhiomIt can't hurt to backup your current , let it rebuild and see if it solves the issue... If not just put the original back, if so you can compare/contrast to see if there is a discrepancy...It can't hurt ;)-Paul Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk
May 24, 201016 yr To answer your question...no, you do not need any monitor drivers, unless sometimes you use specific programs for your monitor. I've never had to install any monitor drivers. - Red E8500 @ 4.1 | EVGA 275GTX (overclocked) | 2x2GB Mushkin Enhanced Redline @ 1066 | Samsung 24inch LCD @ 1920x1080 |
