May 31, 201016 yr Eastern in the UK does it...Some operators apparently forbid the use of pushback with reverse thrust, too much FOD or the possibility of braking and rotating back onto the tail...Andrew Andrew Entwistle

May 31, 201016 yr Oh yea, she will fall back on her tail. I did that during beta :( These aircraft are parked in spots that don't require pushbacks. Dan Downs KCRP
June 3, 201016 yr Not always Dan... Eastern in the UK does use reverse pushback (or at least they did)...I would guess they need an extra pair of eyes outside the plane to make sure the way is clear, and careful application of the brakes is required... be sure also not to use too much reverse, as you can put her onto the tail easily...Andrew Andrew Entwistle
June 3, 201016 yr Yeah, I should have used a qualifier such as 'usually.' I wasn't aware that an operator routinely used that technique. Interesting. Dan Downs KCRP

And, we noted that, at least in the U.S., these type of planes (i.e., a Dashes, Embrarers, Saabs, etc.) tend to be parked in remote areas or at commuter terminals where they can essentially drive in and drive out. My personal experisnce at places like KSAN, KDFW and KDCA are examples. Exceptions would be KPHL, KIAD, KLAX. From the sim perspective, I do this every once in awhile and it works fine, although my recollection is you have to watch the temps of the engines, lest they explode.
