June 10, 201015 yr FSX shows course for R26 at LOWI as 255, BUT all other FSX navigation tools ( such as FS Commander) I have looked at show correct course as 259. This seems to lead to landing at an angle on the runway.Anyone any ideas on a fix ? :( Intel Core i7-6700 CPU @ 4.1GHzRAM 16 GBNVIDIA GeForce GTX 970Windows 10 Home Premium 64-bitAsus 32in monitor 2560*1440

LOWI has in real life an offset approach by some degrees to avoid mountainous terrain in the area. This makes it still one of the most demanding and challenging approaches, especially during IFR conditions. June 11, 201015 yr If you truly want challenging, try the LOC/DME east circling 08 or even better, the LOC/DME west circling 08 into LOWI.Only SBRJ seems more challenging.

I just flew the 08 LOC/DME approach the other day. It wasn't pretty, :( but I didn't hit anything vertical. Sure was nice having my RXP Garmin WAAS GNS with it's terrain warning system in full....full....use.

Sure was nice having my RXP Garmin WAAS GNS with it's terrain warning system in full....full....use.Try it in a 757 or 737.You will be planning your fuel so as to arrive barely above minimums and have the lowest vref possible.Especially the 757 is fun,you see the mountainside fill the windscreen ... fill the windscreen .... fill the windscreen...nervous glance at the EADI ... mountain still fills the windscreen ... gasp ... there is the runway. That approach, flown in the dark and on VATSIM is the most fun a simpilot can have with his clothes on,imho.Makes you appreciate the Netherlands with it's flat surface even more.
June 11, 201015 yr I had the chance to fly the LOC DME West circle to land Rwy 08 a few times as a passenger in a friend
