June 11, 201015 yr Okay so this program looks amazing. I have meaning to get in now for a while, and I finally did. But after intalation of the main program as wel as SP1 and V2.07 update, when I click the icon, the following message appears:"Program ErrorError loading default UT2 of FSX settings.Unexpected end of file has occurred. The following elements are not closed:SimBase.Document, SimBase.Document, SimBase.Document, SimBase.Document, SimBase.Document,"In FSX the only traffic displayed is the FSX default traffic. There is no menu in the addons section of the menu bar that says UT2.I have already tried the designated UT2 forums, but I didn't get one single reply, so I am tring here.~thanks a bunchEthan Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)

June 11, 201015 yr Would it make sense to un-install UT2 completely then re-install the basic version, run it with FSX with basic settings enabled, then exit, then apply upgrades before running again?Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
June 11, 201015 yr Author I can try. I opened exe.xml within the appdata fsx folder, and there were a bunch of lines that said simbase.document blah blah blah. Which is what the error message said too. There was no entry for UT2 though. I added the following lines:<SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>EXE.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Name>UT2</Name> <Path>c:\FSX\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path> <NewConsole>True</NewConsole> </Launch.Addon></SimBase.Document>We'll see how it goes.... June 11, 201015 yr Author ok...What I posted before was incorrect. It would have been:<Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>UT2</Name><Path>e:\program files\microsoft\microsoft flight simulator x\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path><NewConsole>True</NewConsole></Launch.Addon></SimBase.Document>Your path would probably be different. Still it did not work. So I started FSX then manualy started UT2Services.exe. I heard the connection sound. I started a flight, and sure enough there was traffic. But my normal 35-40 FPS was down to 0.4 FPS!!! And I still couldent start the UT2 program itself. The error message would occur and then it would freeze and I would have to manually end the process.Insight? Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
June 11, 201015 yr You shouldnt need the SP1 update. I got this from the UT2 website:IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOAD THE UT2 INSTALLER FROM FLIGHT1.COM SINCE THE 1st FEB 2010 AND INSTALLED USING THAT, THEN YOU DO NOT NEED SP1, SP1 HAS ALREADY BEEN INCLUDED IN THE DOWNLOADIf I were you I would un-install running the un-installer and then remove anything left over as shown below1. In AppData\Roaming\Flight One Software\ delete the Ultimate Traffic 2 directory2. In *FSX Directory*\Flight One Software delete the Ultimate Traffic 2 directory3. In *FSX Directory*\SimObjects delete the UT2 Aircraft directoryThis should remove all the files for UT2 from your system.Reload UT2 and fire it up and see what version it says you have without doing any updates. After checking to make sure your install works then do the 2.07 hotfix but NOT the SP1 update. Please post back your results. Jim Wenham
June 11, 201015 yr Author Okay..The reinstall w/out installing sp1 did not work. I think I have narrowed it down to the exe.xml file. I am trying to fix it and as I do the error message changes. Would someone please post the contents of their exe.xml file so I could see what someone elses looks like? I don't know why it is not installing itself into there on its own! Anyway, thanks for the help. Please post.-Ethan Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
June 11, 201015 yr Author Got It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My exe.xml was corrupted some how.For future reference it should read:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?><SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"><Descr>Launch</Descr><Filename>exe.xml</Filename><Disabled>False</Disabled><Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad><Launch.Addon><Disabled>False</Disabled><ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad><Name>UT2</Name><Path>E:\Program Files\microsoft\microsoft flight simulator x\Flight One Software\Ultimate Traffic 2\UT2Services.exe</Path><NewConsole>True</NewConsole></Launch.Addon></SimBase.Document>Plus whatever other addons you may have. Mine had jibberish and ~~~'s and who knows what else. It is all sorted now thanks for everybodies help!Ethan Ethan Rayhorn My Office: (Taken at FL410)
