Did you update to the latest BIOS for the mainboard and installed all the drivers from the ASUS website? Meaning chipset, USB, network (I don't use itegrated audio)? I think I don't have Marvell SATA running, though I do have my main drivers on the 6GB ports, and the rest is running off the normal ones.If you want to test the memory, run the Memtest the whole night with all sticks and see what happens. If bad, then test singles...In windows I suggest running Furmark + Orthos to check for the stability, monitoring temperatures, I see you didn't really monitor those. If it's a complete Jetline system, then they must take it back for inspection and change parts as necessary, as under Guarantee.
No...I don't have a Jetline system....but I wish I did. When I installed the drivers and updated the Bios...it seems that causes problems instead of fixing them...that is why I am wondering if this Motherboard is hosed. When I loaded up the newest USB Drivers from the Asus website....it started locking up big time, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the older ones from the CD and that seemed to work better....although it did lock up eventually. No matter what I do...the system locks up on me....the screen just freezes and the computer locks up. 1 thing I do know...the video card is good...I put it in another computer and it works fine. 2 I am loading up the VelociRaptor in another computer now to see if it is ok or not....so far it appears to be working fine. I really can't run any memtest or any other test because the computer won't run that long. The longest I have gotten it to run is about 3 minutes before it locks up and I have to power it down. I don't have another computer that runs Triple Channel memory...so I can't test it on another computer. I don't have any way to test the cpu. 1...I don't know what my options are at this point....send the whole mess back to Newegg and take the 15% restocking fee hit? 2....Take it to a computer guy and say.....Have at it? 3....Buy another brand of Motherboard and give it a try....like an EVGA? 4....Buy more Memory and give that a try? Thanks for all your ideas on this NIGHTMARE!

Believe it or not...I think I got it working...more testing will tell for sure...but this is what happened:I took McCrash's advice and reseated everything but had never thought about the power supply connectors....I thought about swapping out the power supply and started to unplug it and then decided not to.....well uplugging the large power connector and reconnecting it seemed to clear up most of the problems. I still had an issue in that I could run OK with 2 of the 2gb mem sticks in...but not with 3, so I double checked my Bios (I had flashed it several days ago) and sure enough....the old BIOS was still showing so I flashed the new BIOS and it appears to be running fine for now. Thanks again everyone for your help and listening to me cry and stomp my feet...and have a tantrum.

I had a similar issue. Same Mobo, ram. I have ASUS P6X58D Premium, i7-960, Muskin Redline 6GB (3x2GB DDR3-1600 cas 6), EVGA GTX-480 superclocked, vRap 600, vRap 300, Corsair 850w PSIt was running fine for about a week then started freezing up. It would even freeze up when going into the BIOS screen.I tried testing the RAM with memtest, but I could even get the test running before it froze up. After reseating all components, and still freezing up, I decided to take the GTX-480 out, and put in the 8800GT from my old rig. Booted fine, was able to go into BIOS, look around. Rebooted into memtest CD, and tested each module thoroughly. All passed. After all that, I took the 8800 out and put the GTX-480 back in, and attempted boot. FREEZE!Called EVGA, explained everything that was going on, and everything I did. They had me check some things, and eventually decided to RMA the card. I shipped it to them last week, so I hope to have it back in another week or so.And I hope that was the issue, because if I get a replacement and have the same issue..............well, let's just say I fear for this machine's life hahahahaha-m@

Appears like you have no idea what a Memtest is.It has nothing to do with Windows... http://www.memtest.org/ (a simple googling it would suffice)I believe your computer crashes on the sticks and possibly a wrong configuration. Possibly a bad motherboard, but ruling the sticks out would be a very important thing!

WOW....msalo....what an ordeal......hope that takes care of it for you. I am having a heck of a time with my old gaming computer with an 8800GTX. I went bad after 3 years and I RMA'd it with EVGA. They sent me a referb one and it lasted about 2 days....RMA's that one and it lasted a few days....RMA's that one and I am still waiting for the 3rd replacement to arrive.....I am not expecting much from this one either. Kota....I know what memtest is...but it is an iso and I didn't have the means to burn a CD. I am going to try it as soon as I get this computer all together and have it running long enough to run memtest.

Randy

Oh sorry, I had an impression you had a 2nd computer. But now I get it. It's weird you can't run it even for 3min. You did connect both powers to the board, right?Say, how about the BIOS, when you get in it, does the computer crash too or is it stable?Too bad you bought it online... I buy all my stuff in the store, so I can bring it back if there is a problem and have an instant replacement. You should probably RMA the board to newegg.

Word Not Allowed.....thanks for your help....but right now, everything is running great. Reseating my power connectors and Flashing the Bios (again) did the trick. It has been running since yesterday morning with no problems...I am getting FSX all loaded up and getting ready to fly. I do have a second computer but it is down waiting for an 8800 GTX replacement card (mentioned in an earlier post).

Well I spoke too soon. It is still locking up but it just takes longer....I loaded up FSX and took it for a flight and it flew for about an hour...then Lock Up...did this twice. Ran Memtest for several hours....no errors.....I guess it is time to RMA the MotherBoard....I am out of ideas...unless anyone out there has had similar problems.

I had an issue like this when I built my first computer a few years ago - it ended up being that the clock speed of the RAM was too fast for the motherboard, basically. So I flashed/updated the BIOS and 'de-clocked' the memory (I'm not going to pretend I know all of the technical data behind any computer component because frankly I don't, but this is what was suggested to me and it worked, so I'll leave that as dumbed down as I can lol) and one of these things fixed it.

Thanks Kyle...I will check that out.

I would RMA the board nonetheless. Apparently its nothing else. Clocking down just because the board can't do more because of some error on it?? :(

I just RMA'd the Motherboard....so we will see if that helps.

There is a program called whocrashed 2.10 It is for free and if you are lucky you can actually see what is causing your comp to crash. My experience building computers, and I have done a couple of them, is that most common thing to crash a computer is heat related. Good luckregardsMats
