Anybody using FSPS - MULTICORE ENVIRONMENT? If so ,do you get the same effect without the program , if you were to just press control alt delete and under task manager just manually(set affinity) change the settings in the processes tab ?I tired that method and saw no difference in sim preformance.

There are freeware programs, such as Prio, that provide the same function. It allows you to set priority and affinity in task manager and it will save your changes.

Thanks for the reply.Do you see any increase(as far as fs9 goes) with these functions applied?

I use FSX only, and I have to use Prio to assign TrackIR to core0 only to keep it from stuttering. Also, I assign all other FSX related programs to core0 and I have FSX and TrackIR set to high priority. I can't say exactly what the performance impact is (except for eliminating TrackIR stutters) but it is definitely a part of the overall performance improvement to FSX.

I developed a small application that allows me to run fs9 on a CPU and all the other processes on the other CPU. I saw no change at all in the overall performance...Eric
