July 28, 201015 yr Which is the best way to purchase the Pitts for those of us in the US? Nochex or PayPal? Not fond of PayPal and don't have an account. I'm mostly concerned about exchange rates and extra fees. Is there any other way to purchase? If this is not a proper post for the forum, feel free to delete it. Thanks. --- Jim ---

July 28, 201015 yr Commercial Member Heya,Firstly, this is not the "normal" Paypal stuff where you need an account and have to go through all the rigmarole. Our arrangement with them is as such that you can just enter your credit/debit card details as you would with any other e-commerce store. It is really easy, believe me, I tested it and I am useless with all that website purchasing stuff :)Nochex is the same, just to give people a preference. No accounts required, just hit the button, give your card details and away you go.Whichever one you use is up to you, but rest assured we have worked with them for the simplest approach possible. Just your card details and away you go, whichever you choose. No worries with transaction fees, we pick those up on our end for you, wherever you are in the world. We have also set it up so your card provider does the currency exchange at source so you are not hit with any currency conversion fees.If that is not enough, as you may have seen on the avsim review we have been told that we are "too cheap". We have deliberately offered the best price possible for everyone in these hard times, regardless of the exchange rate between your county and ours.all the bestJaneRachel - Jane Whittaker

July 31, 201015 yr Guys, please bear with us if our servers are slow. We are really really busy right now, which is both a good and a bad thing :)JaneRachelWell mine downloaded just fine, about an hour ago, with an email issue that was very promptly handled by JaneRachel. Installation was totally automatic - a no-brainer. After one flight - over OrbX PNW/Arlington and the northern Seattle area I'm very satisfied. It's a keeper - much superior to the Icarus S-2, both visually and functionally. Cons first - only one, and it could well be my pc, but I get occasional flashing inside the cockpit - not a deal-breaker, and if others have this too I;m sure it will be fixed. The pros: The flying characteristics are just excellent - I've owned and flown a number R/C Pitts Specials - up to giant scale, and this one flies just as they do, so it follows that this is very close to the r/w aircraft. It's nice 'n' twitchy on the ground, turns well and brakes are ok. I found it taxied an tad fast, but that may have been me and my big fist. Flying - one has to be careful with the airspeed - it will bite if one allows it to get slow, and one needs to be very gentle with both elevator and rudder, as a snap/flick roll can be induced easier than I can type. Rudder is needed in the loop - watch the ball as you pull: the slip is the best I have ever flown - much better than the RealAir (the "standard") SF260 or their Spit 14 - very controllable: the drag as the power comes off is noticeable: it slows down quickly, so a short, curving approach is ok to do - there's not much straight-ahead vision. The sound is strange, but listening to a number of other full-size Pitts on YouTube - it also sounds correct. The graphics are superb - the cloth covering looks like the real thing. After one fifteen minute flight, it's five out of five. Many Thanks AddictiveSim and thanks, Al (Chock) for the pics and intro videos. :( i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.
