August 12, 201015 yr Guys,Just wondering if this is correct. If i do a "cold and dark" the FA does all of his flight deck and cabin announcements. If I don't do a "cold and dark" start, he does not do the flight deck or cabin announcements. Is this correct?Regards,Richard

So you need to turn up the FA Cabin volume in order to hear the cabin announcements. Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
August 15, 201015 yr I think what Richard may have been referring to is, that if you do a second continuing flight, or dont run PF first, you dont get any of the ready to board, or other FA announcements, The doors are not closed automatically etc, until you manually close the doors and start etc you dont get any FA announcements. It would be good to be able to have the ability to have the PF, but without a complete "Cold & Dark" setup first for a return trip so that you still simulate re-boarding etc. Regards James Carr

One of the finest simmming experiences I recall was using the F1 ATR with FS2Crew and flying Aer Arann real schedules. These typically involved 30 minute or less turnrounds and managing to get all of the stuff done and be ready for an on-time departure was an engrossing challenge. Bryan, can I add my voice to a request to provide a turnaround process that generates the full flight experience without the necessity to have an unrealistic C+D setup?Andy

August 26, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi Andy,I understand now.I'll add that to the list.Cheers,I just double checked this. The FO should only run the "cold and dark" setup on the first flight of the day.On the 2nd leg (when you press Run PF events) he should not setup cold and dark. I hadn't noticed that this was the case. The manual implies that the C+D routine is run as soon as the pre-flight button is pressed, so I'd never actually tried it. Just shows you shouldn't assume. It really is a great product. My only gripes are that I cannot get any recognition of the word 'transition' no matter how I pronounce it. And the other is the turn-off of landing lights in the after take-off check. Using FSPax you get a penalty for that so you have to disable the whole lights penalty evaluation in FSpax which is a minor irritant. Does the airline you modelled the procedures on really do that? Andy

AndyBut I find still that when re-running PF I still dont get the FA asking to board, or close the doors, like you do on the first run of PF.In my mind a re-run of the PF should do everything but the C&D setup, including the walk around etc...as this would always still be done on a return trip.RegardsJames Regards James Carr

August 29, 201015 yr Commercial Member Hi James,Hmmm, you should be getting that. I'll check it out and fix it in the next update if it's in fact broken.Best,I just looked at the code. Are you guys running the "Shutdown" Checklist in full to the end? That's a necessary condition to ensure everything gets "reset" properly for the 2nd leg.Best, B. I set the parking brake and decrease the throttles as per the AOM. and normally engage the GPU so I have power still. Am i missing something else? When I click PF again, going through the procedures, the cabin never closed the doors, so when i come to one of the checklists the FO queries this and I have to do it manually.I will run it again though and try and give you a more detailed response.Regards Regards James Carr

If I don't do a "cold and dark" start, he does not do the flight deck or cabin announcements. Is this correct?I just tested a through flight using the US crew region, and following the steps in the FS2Crew manual. After completing the first flight I ran the shutdown checklist and went back to step 13 in the manual, pressing RUN PF on the configuration panel to start the second flight. The FO correctly omitted the "first flight of the day" items while setting up for the second flight (but did the rest), and the conversations with the flight attendant were all as usual. I had no problems with the doors closing at the right time.Do you get the "I'm ready for the next sector" confirmation from the FO when you press the "RUN PF" button to begin the second flight?
