August 13, 201015 yr We have a three-legged Pit Bull rescue that is the absolute joy in our lives. The Pit puppies shown have the same colors as ours which really caught my eye because we adopted our baby when she was 18 months so we never saw her a a puppy. Thanks for sharing this story. August 14, 201015 yr ...which is truly a wonderful and generous thing to do!But, it does sort of poke holes in the common perception that Laminar Research (i.e., Austin) is a small, poor, struggling little software business, eh?I would never have assumed that Austin was financially struggling, he is the head of a very small team that makes a flightsim that has tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of users worldwide on 3 OS platforms, not to mention additional commercial users. I would have assumed his profit margins were insanely good.

The sales to the entertainment market are a plus of course, but very tiny in proportion to gross income.The "common perception" to which I was referring is mostly in the context of the entertainment market's users, who often aren't even aware of the professional/commercial side of the business.
